I am a fan of Warnock, good manager and good for the club - but let's not pretend any longer that if Trollope, OGS or Slade did the same thing today that people wouldn't be acting a lot differently. Warnock does get a free pass in these instances, its clear. Also little things like putting a spin on certain senarios. If Trollope was in charge for the Barnsley game then the reports on here would have read "Trollope loses more points at home", "powder puff resolve", "stupid errors and judgement cost Trollope"... However under Warnock that same performance would be (and was) met with "never say die Warnock so unlucky". We beg for consistency on the pitch, we should display some as fans too, start saying things as hey are and not what people want things to be.

if Slade or Trollope had come here and imediately started picking up double the points per game to the previous manager they too would be shown more tollerance for a Barnsley defeat.
we as fans are pretty consistent always have been.

Chamakh was on 40k a week at Palace up untill June and was wanted by WBA and Palermo amongst others before he signed for us.

Im almost certain but not 100% because I cant remember where I read it but think it was on here by Carl or Annis that because he was a free transfer we were able to offer him a considerable signing on fee to get him to come as we were not his only option.

I'm sorry but got to disagree with you, chamakh was released at end of last season by Palace, he trained in the summer with west Brom who decided not to sign him and by October he had no team/employment yet your implying we were 1 of 3 club's fighting to sign him and offered big money?

we looked doomed
we are still in a relegation battle.
MY only concern this year is staying out of league 1
i just dont get where the pick on warnock and how much Chamakh earns comes into it.
and while im at it. Connolly ? has he ever played at right back before? only about 50 times for 5 or 6 different managers.
has Peltier filled in at left back durring his career? erm yes.

Not sure what your disagreeing with me about to be honest mate, Iv only asked a question?

People keep saying they were not on much yet there doesnt seem to be much proof on that.

I wasnt aware he'd trained with wba in the summer and that they had decided not to sign him so Ill take your word on that. I read an article dated early Oct that WBA, Palermo and other overseas clubs were interested in him thats where I got that bit from and im almost certain it was said om here at the time that when we signed the 4 lads one was given a substantial signing on fee and it was implied that was Chamakh. That could of course turned out to be wrong.

Im going to leave it now cos its dragged on for to long and its realy not that important, my initial shock was hering Warnock saying he wasnt aware of John, Huws or Fred, a few of us quite politely pointed out that it was a bit unprofessional and if that had been someone else the place would have gone into meltdown, it doesnt mean we dont like Warnock or that people are trying to 'lynch him' its just an opinion.

Unforunately some people have taken it badly, some good with some honest hard hitting debate.

We all want the same things so leys hope we get some positive results over christmas and kick on in 2017.

Merry CHRISTMAS.

Didnt see this but got to reply quickly. When Connolly played at right back under previous managers they were lambasted by half the board for doing so. He cant play full back and is a shit full back were just two of the phrases dished out along with why are they playing players out if position.

Warnock plays him at Full back and he gets Slaughtered whilst Warnock gets defended to the hilt.

Theres no consistency.

There's a difference between filling in because of needs must and switching the defence around playing players out of position when there are better players for those positions available for selection.

Is Connolly a better right back than Peltier? No.

Is Peltier a better LB than Joe Bennett? Not for me.

I was at the Wolves game and thought both full backs were poor in particular Peltier who looked extremely uncomfortable on the left especially in possession as he's all right foot. He just smacked the ball forward aimlessly a couple of times straight out for a goal kick I thought we had resigned Ben Turner.

I was shocked to see the very next game we stuck with the same defence when it was obvious if Wolves had been a better side they could have scored a hatful first half. Sadly it seems Barnsley were more clinical than Wolves a few days prior.

my point was that managers change things ,sometimes think things will work that dont so its back to the drawing board and its a bit earlyto be critical . my own opinion is Bennet should be our left back. connolly and peltier? ,i think conolly is the better footballer, peltier the more dogged but he is wicked in possession.right back for me should be high on the wanted list.
