Wilson is the future unless of course he looks at this site see the people who think they are experts slagging him off and leaves who would blame him however he is better than Amos actually the last few goals that have gone in against us were a joke a dreadful display by keeper and defence.

keeper and back 4 has to be changed but ffs support the youngsters like Wilson this is why managers have to protect youngsters as people attack them as soon as they make 1 mistake some the things said against Declan John totally stuns me and the same people moaning last year why Slade wont play the likes of Healey & OSullivan.

The good thing we have a coach in charge of the youngsters who will tell supporters where to go and protect them

Would hope that football players have a little more common sense than to pay much attention to anything on a football forum. The stuff on here is mainly opinions rather than hard facts, and if for example Whittingham was to read and believe everything on this forum, he would be well confused. He is everything from our best player to someone who has no idea what he is doing. Personally, I am not going to criticise any of our players if I think they are giving as much as they can. Warnock has obviously thought that Amos is the best we have in that particular position, and I doubt that he goes onto the pitch with the intentions of having a poor game. It's easier for me to be critical of a brilliant player who is only going through the motions rather than someone who is finding it difficult but still giving his all. As we used to say in the good old days, they may be crap but their our crap and we will get behind them.

Steve, whilst your on it seems as good a time as any for me to hold my hand's up and concede that I was wrong in regards to our debate over how the season was going to pan out.

I wasn't expecting to concede so quickly but I have had a short sharp dose of reality since our debates and it is clear that any aspirations of a potential late play off charge were nothing but a pipe dream on my part.

I think when we were chatting the gap was 11 points and its now increased to 14 rather than decease to around 8-9 that I was hoping it would have by this point. I'm actually fearfull going into the next 3 games that if we lose to Brentford by the time Jan 2nd comes round we will back to where we started when Warnock took over as I don't fancy our chances at Brighton or home to Villa.

Anyway, without waffling on, I was wrong, hand up.

It's never over till it's over as they say. I based my predictions on the squad we had here at the start of the season, and I honestly looked at the other teams and thought in comparison we were not a very good side. Depending on what happens next month, we could have a different looking side altogether, although the January window does'nt usually produce a glut of quality players. Because of that, and our tight financial position, I don't see us becoming significantly stronger by the end of the transfer window. I still do not believe we will get close to the play offs, but I still think we can climb into the top 12 or so if things go our way. I predicted 12th to 15th at the start, but I am just starting to get a little concerned that the longer we hang around the bottom five, the more the player's confidence will be affected, and we could end up with a fight on our hands. Just happy we have Rotherham, Burton & Wigan in the same division as us, and Swansea next season.

Amos is a better option than Wilson right now.

Cardiff City linked with Fulham goalkeeper

Out of favour Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli is a January target of Cardiff City’s according to The Sun.

Cardiff City are interested in signing Fulham goalkeeper Marcos Bettinelli during the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

Bettinelli is expected to be on big wages at Craven Cottage but the Bluebirds are reportedly willing to offer a good deal to make him their number one choice. It is understood that the move would be a loan move, with a view to a permanent deal.

The 24 year-old is yet to make an appearance for Fulham this season after the Cottagers signed Brentford goalkeeper David Button this summer.

Bettinelli has experience at Conference Premier side Dartford as well as League Two side Accrington Stanley, before playing 31 times for Fulham in the 2014-2015 season. His performances for Fulham in that season saw him earn an England U21 call-up.

With questionable recent performances from current Cardiff stopper Ben Amos, it has left manager Neil Warnock assessing the goalkeeper position, and the Bluebirds will be desperate to find a long-term replacement for former keeper David Marshall.

The signing would leave Cardiff with four goalkeepers in their ranks, with on-loan keeper Ben Amos already at the club and current first choice, as well as Development keeper Ben Wilson and experienced third choice goalkeeper Brian Murphy.
