Add into that xmas shopping has started, most people with a brain in or around Cardiff that Cardiff is a traffic nightmare when only egg is on, add in shopping and football and you can bet many would say not today thank you.

I bet if we had the game on Friday night or today at midday you would see a bigger crowd given the great prices through s/t holders. And I bet Huddersfield would have still brought their 700.

Wake up city, egg and football don't mix and there are no excuses about police costs anymore like you came out with in the past!

Always something going on though be it egg, Wales away week after or whatever. Yesterday did make a difference though, like it or not.

Gareth, Correct always something to blame, weather, road closed, shopping, manager, sky tv etc etc etc

But never blamed any of these when we were a Premier League club, I would have over a 100 people a week asking how do I get a ticket, not heard from them since.

Take a look at our attendance figures when we just failed to be promoted from this division (finished 3rd) the season we played Real Madrid. Around 21,000 for a lot of games with the odd gates of 25,000 or so. It was a good season to be a City supporter, which unfortunately ended with a 5-1 defeat to Sheff Utd which ended our promotion hopes. We would be getting exactly the same sort of attendances now if we were up there with the top few teams. Nothing has really changed in the 50 years I have been following this club. Success will increase the numbers just the same as virtually every other club. Many fans only want to see a winning team.

Please spare a thought for season tickets holders like me who wouldn't have been able to make the game if it was switched to Friday night.

Where are the "id rather be blue in league two" brigade? If you are not coming down because of Tan then you are not a fan. These people are not stay aways they are excuse makers, they've never been regulars. If Tan left they'd think of another excuse.

I don't go to every game because the match day experience is dire, I don't enjoy it anymore. Wish people would be as honest as me.

Some hard truths in that mate, a lot of people I know that 'stopped going' never went regularly anyway.

Absolutely spot on, same here the lads who I know that are making excuses didn't go often anyway. I still enjoy it, it's not like it was but have reluctantly tried to adapt to the modern game as best I can. I miss games and I enjoy games, but we all remember that feeling when you were missing one and you were in turmoil. Am I right? :bluescarf:

True about at one time hating missing a game and was thinking this was going to be my last as a season ticket holder after 17 years and a regular supporter for a lot longer. However yesterday for the first time in 4 or 5 years i actually enjoyed the game - there was even a bit of atmosphere in the Ninian stand. Still a long way to go but think in Warnock we finally have a manager who might just be the one to get us going again - one thing for sure under him even if the quality is not great the team will at least put a shift in.
