Evans was convicted of rape and that was upheld on appeal. This retrial used evidence from someone who suddenly appeared after reading that Evans was offering £50,000 to anyone who could give evidence which would clear him.

I have read this evidence and the defence managed to manipulate it well enough to give reasonable doubt and therefore Evans was found not guilty. Personally IMO I thought the testimony was shaky at best.

If this 'witness' was so interested in justice then why didn't he come forward before Evans offered £50,000?

There is absolutely no evidence that she was raped. Just that she was drunk and had sex with 2 equally drunk men.

All she has ever reported to the police is that she woke up naked and confused and couldn't remember the night before.

Equally there is no evidence to say it wasn't rape apart from 2 friends matching stories, which must be taken as the truth when giving evidence under oath.

Maybe the 2 men are lying and he did rape her, but equally maybe she is lying about not remembering and what the men are saying is true.

You can not convict someone for the only known fact of 2 people having sex while being drunk.

Have you ever had sex with your wife when both drunk? On these occasions has she given you a clear 'yes'?

Do you ask your wife every time you have sex 'can we have sex?' and get a clear 'yes'?

If you can not answer yes to the last 2 questions, then you are also a rapist
