1. Took us to the premiership under his ownership
2. Took us to an carling cup final under his ownership
3. Paying off our long standing debt
4. Turned us back to blue
5. Got us a good experienced manager in who the fans wanted.

I know a lot of people wont like this thread but like annis says its all about opinions and i for one think our owner deserves credit and backing of the fans. Give us an ayattollah for vinny tan!

what if we turn things around this season get into the play offs ?

Wez it's not about getting to the playoffs or getting promoted, shows how shallow some fans are when they think that success is the only factor here in appreciating VT. It's that same line of thinking that got us in that mess with the rebrand but no, everyone heard 100m and rolled over. Well alot of good that investment done!

It's far deeper than success. Look no further than our season in the prem, it was a joke.

VT has torn the soul from our club and completely disrespected our fanbase and there's many people that will never get blinded by success and will never forgive him.

You talk about being shallow. Is it not shallow then to be concerned more about our appearance (colour) than the success and progression of our club??

A big no from me. He has ruined the club I have followed for nearly 52 years. I don't dislike many people for what they have done, but I rank tan alongside thatcher, and she is 6 feet under. He should be run out of town immediately.

why run out of town ? let it go as no VT = no club

I will always have appreciation for Vincent Tan because he saved this club's existence when he paid the tax bill and stopped the winding up order. Also many local business' who weren't paid by the Riddler in relation to the stadium build were finally paid due to VT's investment which is something which is always overlooked.

On the negative side I think his biggest mistake was listening to the wrong people. Dalman is the real blame for the rebrand as it was his genius idea to create a 'mini-Man United' in order to market us in the far east. It just never worked and looking back now it did affect the enjoyment of watching CCFC as playing in red was just not right.

Personally I admit to being a reluctant red as I want to secure the future of this club after being frightened to death the club would disappear due to the tax winding up orders. I never ever wore red but if one thing came out of the rebrand mess it was watching the Canton Stand @ 19:27 sing we will always be blue with all the scarf's flying it was truly emotional.

I also think VT made a mistake listening to Borley when he failed to pay the Langston debt and asking that worn out excuse about who they actually were? He also listened to his managers too much in signing duff players. ALL are to blame in one way or another, but of course the counter argument is he shouldn't have sanctioned them.

All too late he finally started listening to the fans. Neil Warnock is a fans signing no doubt about that and finally there is a buzz about the place.

I hope VT will now hone in on this new positive feel and replace his customers with fans

Having lived under that bitch Thatcher I can tell you VT doesn't come anywhere near her.

Amazing how so many posters on here have never made a mistake and then tried to make amends for it/them.


The guy has made plenty, some real corkers BUT he has reversed most if not all of them.
