Sorry that's not how I read the OP. Annis gave both reason and justification for his opinion and its totally unfair to say he hasn't.

If you disagree with his opinion then fine but don't make things up.

His first sentence says "my opinion" and to be fair that's all it is. As you say, he has explained why, and while we all have opinions, not everyone will agree with them. Personally, I don't think he is far out here, Rotherham have for the most part been a small club getting by in the lower divisions. Based on their past, I would say they are punching above their weight and I imagine that success for them would be avoiding relegation.

Steve, Correct it is my opinion and I gave my reasons why and I did say they were punching above their weight, I forgot to say they have the worst defence in the Championship :thumbright: :thumbright:

Plus I must start believing we can beat these type of teams, I'm sure Trollope does, well I hope so :ayatollah:

Any team who have serious ambitions at this level would look at the likes of Rotherham and target 4 points from them as a minimum during the course of this season. My worry is teams (including Rotherham) will now be looking at us and thinking that they could get all 6 points off us this season.

How the hell are they in the Championship?

They are all British/Irish born and bred (that is fine).
At least 4 are in their 30s and 2 or 3 are teenagers. Every one (no exceptins) are either journy men or teenagers. They have 5 loan players & at least 3 will start.

I don't see what any of these have to do with them being in the championship side, the majority of our players are British and we have a few over 30 and teenagers, like most sides have in this league. But they do have some experienced Championship players in the squad.

I think every game is a must win game with our situation and I agree, especially against the sides around us. But we can't just expect 3 points, we've been in the Championship long enough now to realise this. This will be a tough game for us and in all honesty the way we've played the past season, can't see us getting more than a point. But I'll expect the same topic brought up when we play Derby, then Burton etc. etc. for the remainder of the games left.

I'd say Annis is about right. Although we currently find ourselves bottom, Rotherham have by far the weakest squad in the Championship.

We should be winning at places like Rotherham regardless of league position as on paper our squad is head and shoulders above theirs

We've just got to go there and show up. I feel & many others do as well that we've got a good squad of players who are just shot of confidence. A win here will do us the world of good.

Spot on, and that's why Rotherham are the odds on favourites with the bookies for relegation. Most sides would be looking to take at least 4 points from Rotherham for obvious reasons, and that's not disrespecting them, even the bookies think they are certs to go down.

Rotherham are at best a 1st division side.

They are well and truly punching above their weight and they will always be near the bottom and in the end relegated.

How the hell are they in the Championship?

They have Adeyemi from us & I don't know if he is allowed to start. To be fair the last 2 yrs we've had few older and/or loan players of our own - but nowhere near as desparate as they are. Conclusion: yes we are rock bottom now but if we don't win this one then we have more problems than we thought. There are no certainties but I feel confident albeit with some apprehension.

For me Cardiff should be looking for three points and I if I was Trollope. I would be upset with anything less.
If we are to stay up, then we have to beat these type of teams.

But this is a Cardiff city forum not a Rotherham forum. I'm sure Rotherham will believe they should beat us, as the league shows they are in a better position than we are. I'm not really that interested in the ins and outs at Rotherham, what bothers me is the complete lack of direction at Cardiff city at present :bluebird:

Simon, Paulh only knows how to be sarcastic, he does not want to talk football and debate it, that's why he got banned twice in the past.
All he had to do was either ignore my topic or debate it, but that's not Paulhs way he likes to derail topics and get slanging matches going. Paulh was one of them who tried to ruin the forum before,I must be stupid in thinking he had changed.

All I want is for fans to debate and give their opinions on who City face this Saturday?

Not a disrespectful post at all. Rotherham fans will have their views and we will have ours, it's called healthy debate. It's very rare that two sets of opposing football fans will both agree on the same topic :bluebird:

I fully agree. Some posters really have a funny definition on what being disrespectful is? Not agreeing with someone's opinion is in no way being disrespectful neither is pointing out what are your perceived beliefs about the ability of a side like Rotherham.

Annis I completely agree our goal for this game should be 3 points anything else would be a disappointment.

We can do it providing we start delivering on an end product instead of playing keep ball for 90mins.

Spot on Tony, lets get the ball to our strikers etc Rickie Lambert can only score if he gets the service :thumbright: :thumbright:

Steve that is a worry, but what we need to do now is put this to bed and win, before not only does the rot sets in,its cemented in and we become the whipping boys of the Championship.

Ive said no problem with that, in fact I wish more clubs had British players, I was just showing their whole set up/squad etc.

We are making every game more than tough, bloody hell we've already been embarrassed by Preston and Leeds and if we have any chance of staying up,we have to beat a club like Rotherham :thumbright: :thumbright:

Re: " My Opinion on this Saturday "

I don't think it's disrespectful at all and I bet 100% Rotherham fans are almost saying similar on their forum and quite frankly having seen what we have served up 75% of the games this season I'd be earmarking this game as a good chance to get a win at home if I was them!

I think time will tell just how good the difference is between our sides over the course of the season but at present whilst they might look inferior on paper I have learnt in all our seasons in this league that you take no side for granted whether they are relegation fodder (according to the bookies) or not!

How often do premier sides give little respect to small sides in the league cup and look stupid afterwards

Whilst I feel like others we should feel that we can go to Rotherham and take all 3 points like I said I never underestimate any opponent do so at your own peril!!

Paulh a bit of honesty here, but I moved on from that.

How about your thoughts/opinion on Rotherhams team?

i think they are a team that will be down the bottom end of the division, but i wouldnt write them off as journeymen or desperate. At home they are a difficult prospect and considering where we are right now i would be happy to just not lose.
