" CCFC Loyalty scheme my a.se . "

Cardiff City

What a con the new system of club shop discount for season ticket holders is

Just bought £109 worth of gear in the shop
Last season I would have had 10% off = £10.90
So would have paid £98.10

This season I have to pay the full £109
And they put the 10% on my season ticket which doubles up as a loyalty card

Now to get my £10 .90 I have to spend it in the shop

IMO this is no advantage in fact it's a worse deal than last season

I spent over £1000 last season in the shop and it only cost me £900

Once again us fans are not being treated very well
In my case I was also told I'm not a full paying adult as a oap so I could not have a £49 season ticket for my grandson

Well done Cardiff city
You have just pissed off a very loyal supporter for a second time

Sounds like knocking the club to me.

Let's be honest there hasn't been a hell lot to smile and be positive about as a city fan, but I'm sure that will change in time. Having a separate section on the forum is kind of stupid, we all have different opinions that's what makes it interesting

Or the knocking of OUR-players or the bigging up of players gone
What is the point of calling one of our players shit or saying if so and so was still here that result wouldn't of happened
I'm totally aghast to be honest
How the hell will we attract more fans if they come on here and read what some fans(alledgedly) are continually putting up on here
I'm not saying everything is great but it's certainly not as bad as some would have us believe

On a positive I live of island and gave myself day off work to sort paperwork, I popped into town in my city tracksuit to set a direct debit and as I walked down the street an oldish lady smiled at me and proceeded to chant bloooobirds at me, got chatting and she moved here last October and had been a season ticket holder all her life.
She said the only thing she really misses is her Saturday afternoon fix, I told her it's the one thing I still miss, had a good chat, I explained my new works van was in Cardiff city font and colours we had a chuckle and put the club to rights, sorry if it's positive but I thought it was class. Completely agree with this I used to be a regular visitor to this forum but there's so much hatred on here now days It just brings me down to read. I'll still have a little flick through on a Saturday morning but when I do it already feels like we have lost. I understand people have alot of hatred for the club but nothing changes when we are constantly negative. If I was new to the area and thought about going down to a match, one check of this forum and I'd be up the road to Barry Town! Sometimes you have to forget rocky past and at least try to move on or we will be stuck in this forever!

Re: Let's have a special section to knock the club

Mon Sep 12, 2016 11:54 pm

For me the past season or two I just found that some of our supporters are so sad they will go to extreme lengths such as knocking the signing of Rickie Lambert with things like 'We left the signing until the last hour so the club could hide away the fact we wasn't gonna sign anymore players' it is only sad the levels some will go to.

The start we have had is frustrating and I am surprising myself with how content I am remaining because usually I am one of the first to let rip into the club but bringing negativity to the club when we are in a negative position isn't going to help.

Here's to 3 points today. :thumbright:

The simple fact of the matter is that Vincent Tan treated a large percentage of then football club's fanbase with utter contempt for more than two and half years. His decisions, his actions, his behaviour and the reactions to him and his re-brand will resonate at Cardiff City for many years to come. His pointless ego trip split the club's fanbase down the middle, caused divisions that in some cases will never heal and, perhaps most significantly, changed the way in which many previously-loyal supporters view the football club and their fellow fans. You can pretend that isn't so if it makes you feel better, but the evidence is staring you in the face every time you enter the Cardiff City Stadium.

The suggestion that those who opposed Tan's re-brand "won by a mile" is nonsense. There were no winners from that sorry episode, only losers, the most obvious one being the football club itself. You've also suggested that Tan has admitted his mistake over the re-brand. Once more, that is nonsense. The truth is that he's never done any such thing and nor has he ever apologised to the fans for the problems it caused.

Have to agree with you. I was one of a group of five regulars who went to the matches together. None of us are youngsters, and all have been fans for between 40 and 50 years, rarely missing a home game. The feeling towards the club changed when our identity was changed, and for some the damage is permanent. Of the five of us, I am the only one who still attends games. The other four have found other things to do, and two of them now watch their local amateur sides on weekends. Personally, I can't see a time when I won't be a fan of the club, but things are not quite the same for me any more, and I miss the couple of pints I used to have with my mates before the game. People say the plastics will be back when we start winning, and perhaps they are right. However, my friends who were there in the bad old days as well as the good ones will never be back. They have gone for good.
