Thomas he's a class above any forward we have. I'm not sure what his fitness will be like?

Talk is Lambert may not be the only player involved in this deal.

Who could be leaving the other way on loan ? West brom need defenders!

TBH I've got to the point where I'd happily see Manga go if it meant we get a decent striker.
Our defence is pretty solid with out him anyway :bluescarf:

Manga appears to be staying for the rest of this season at least. His 'issues' appear sorted and I bow to the member (he knows who he is ;) ) who put me right when I said I'd heard he was on his way, too! :ayatollah:

Knows how to score in this league would have been quality 4 years ago whether he will be as prolific after 3 but part seasons and at 34 who knows but better than anything we have here

I really hope this one comes off. Ricky Lambert at 44 would be better than either Fred or Zohare

Sources close to the club have indicated that a season long loan deal for the centre-forward is a possibility at this stage, but have stressed that any deal is far from done.

Indeed, the indications are that any business could go right to the wire, its now up to Rickie Lambert if he wants to come, both clubs have sorted their part of deal out.

The window shuts at 11pm tonight.

A genuine striker. Much better than Lafferty. We still seriously lack pace though.

From the BBC:

"Sport Witness are reporting that West Brom's attempt to sign Angers centre-back Romain Thomas has failed.

It reports that the French Ligue 1 side pulled the plug on the deal for the 28-year-old centre-back over concerns that they would not have enough time to sign a replacement.

Where does Tony Pulis turn from here?"

Manga perhaps?

Of course it would be good to keep Manga but we have cover at centre back with Morrison. If this helped pushed the deal with Lambert through I think it would be worth it.

Interesting.

Is he waiting to see if anyone else comes in for him?

If the clubs have sorted their parts of the deal out then there would appear to be no other reason for him to delay signing.
