He embraced the rebrand that supposedly all have us hated and he spoken positively about it where people like Ole actually spoke how he was against it.
We slate managers like Slade and Trollope yet none of them have been given 10 million to spend if you add up the transfers... not even 5 million is it? Yet we still hold Malky up as this incredible successful manager yet pissed away 70 million on players, not hard to do what he done with funds like that.
I will always remember him for his first season but saw a completely different man after the promotion season.

Malkys transfer waste was awful the amount he spent we should of stayed up

What I can't understand is how things all went so spectacularly wrong, starting with the signing of Andreas Cornelius. This bearing in mind that Malky & Moody claimed to have a "dossier" on all players they signed???
Hindsight being a wonderful thing, & Malky Mackay is bound to think "what if". He's had almost three years to think about it, after all.
I often wonder "what if " Dave Jones remained as our manager, & had the same level of financial support that MM had at that time? Would he have achieved the same, or even better things at City???
It's certainly thought provoking, if little else!

We would have stayed up if Tan didn't interfere. We were never in the relegation zone under Malky and we had all the bottom half teams left to play at home except Liverpool and Chelsea.re!
Malky also had a 100% winning record at home to bottom half opposition, beating Swansea and West Brom 1-0. There can be little doubt in my opinion Malky would have won us the points at home to steer us up the table second half of the season. We definitely wouldn't have lost 3-0 and 4-0 to Hull and Crystal Palace, the 2 teams that got promoted with us, that's for su
It was Ole who took us down, not Malky.
