It's a bit like having a Tattoo of a player in yr teams kit then the player being sold and going back to the tattooist asking for a refund or it be covered somehow. We all know players come and go it's a risk. But TBH getting a kit with a name on during the transfer window is a risk. But you can't blame the club on this one. Feel sorry for your daughter but there are fans with previous players names on the back of there shirts.

Neither did I say the Club Shop had done anything wrong in the eyes of the law.

My point is, and seems to have been completely missed by you is that we are talking about a 'gesture' here which in the grand scheme of things would have cost the Club peanuts in comparison and would have been a positive in a time of negativity surrounding the Club.

Unfortunately, as is the case in Football these days, you are looking at it purely from a business angle and are not seeing the bigger picture, which of course is your prerogative.

Personally, if I was running a Football Club, as a gesture of goodwill I would have replaced the shirt for the little girl.

Your opinion obviously differs to mine so we will have to agree to disagree

CCFC is a business not a charity. Yes I read your post but fail to understand why the club shop is any different to any other retail outlet.

Your reasoning about the club receiving a transfer fee is a total red herring. Do you really believe Choo/Dalman/Trollope should be deal with a trivial commercial transaction rather than getting on with the business of running a multi-million pound football club?

No of course they shouldn't because CCFC is a business and not a nanny outlet there to dish out dosh to those who have not taken enough care.

Also have you read my post and offered an explanation to why supporters cannot wait until the end of the transfer window before putting names on jersey's?

I got caught out with this last year having Doyle on my son’s shirt. Coincidentally he wanted Fabio on this year’s shirt and I told him to wait! I know the club make it clear online that if you have a shirt personalised it can’t be exchanged or refunded, not sure if they do in store.

Sorry but anyone who wanted Doyle on the shirt deserves any shit that comes their way, child or not.

Even worse. Fans who have their own name in their shirt is as bad as it gets only surpassed by a nickname with a zz in the name.

I do feel for the fans who had their own names put on a shirt duing the Premiership year and then went back to supporting Man Utd :D
