The fact he has or is rumoured to be turning the debt into equity to the tune of 160/170 million is not a sign of a man wanting out, let's work on the basis he does turn the debt into equity he will have no chance of recovering his money unless he can sell the shares onto somebody with serious money and prepared to pay him what he's owed.

When you consider Villa were recently sold for 70 million and Wolves for 40 million I don't think anytime soon anybody will be prepared to pay 170 million for as much as I love them Cardiff City.

So if you think Tan is sitting on us until he can recoup his money you and him will be in for a long wait, the time to cut his losses and run seems to have gone, if and when he sells it will be at a big loss on his investment Premiership football or not.

Whenever he leaves he will be going with a hefty loss to his name. The only reason the club made a small profit last year was due to player trading. There are only so many players that can be sold at enough money to make up for the losses with a bit left over for profit. With parachute payments coming to an end, declining support, and inflated wages, he will struggle to break even anytime soon. I can see players of value being sold if the right offer is made, and very cheap replacements coming in so that the player trade can offset our potential operating losses again. Not saying that there is anything wrong with that, but obviously this means that it will be difficult to remain competitive while this is happeneing.
