yeah i agree its not thats theres no money it just tan wont spend it,we wanted blue back we got it now we will be run like the skintest club in the league, the sooner he fuks off the better, whats the point having a millionaire owner if he acts like the owner of a club in financial ruin??

Have you forgotten what was said when converted some of the debt earlier this year? Financial fair play is big stumbling block to over spending, so splashing the cash is not an option that is viable at this time!

i understand that but thats what the parachute payments are for not for tan to pocket, personally i dont think the club will ever move forward under tan, on the bright side tho i dont think he'll be in charge for much longer maybe another yr or two max

Have a think about what you have written, fella! ;)

Personally, I'd have both back. Mutch improved massively in his time with us and Campbell was a revelation :ayatollah:

Chris, I'm not a Tan fan, but how people can say he's kept the parachute payments to himself when he's just paid off 180m of our debt is beyond me?

I just fear that with all the backstage politics, the rebrand & fans fighting against the management that neither would ever consider coming back & I'd rather us not go back for Campbell, look what's happened between him and the hull fans because of his numerous rejections to go back. I'd rather remember him for having the goals to take us up.

We have struggled without a Mutch type of midfielder since he left. I thought Adeyami was supposed to be a like for like but he is not.

Campbell hasn't been replaced either. Campbell is not a prolific scorer but is a quality player and has pace. I'd prefer someone with real goal scoring credentials as we miss that element up front as evidenced by pre season..

I suspect that they'll end up in another PL squad or one of the higher paying Championship teams on loan.

Trollop won't be able to afford either'.

I thought Campbell has a long term injury?

We can't afford either of them, and it would be to much of a backward step for both of them from Palace us I'm afraid :bluebird:

Both decent players and no doubt could do a job at this level. But wages are going to be a stumbling block. Maybe a loan to buy deal with us paying 50% of the wages maybe more realistic

I would also like to see us use the loan market a bit better. All hypothetical I know, but if we brought those two in plus a couple of quality additions on loan I believe we could make a challenge for the play offs at least.

As it stands I see our squad finishing at the top end of mid-table in what I see as one of the strongest Championships in a good few years.

Agree

Jordan Mutch - the player we have missed the most by miles

Better players out there for the salaries we'd have to pay them.

Out of the two Campbell would be my choice but for all the plaudits on here he scored a not so massive 13 goals in 49 games !!!!! Not quite the terror many would make you believe.

Mutch is a chocolate teapot of a player made for the squad rotation of the money bags premier league, you couldn't ride Mutches back like we have Whitts over the last 9 season and Ralls last year.

I can't work out why fans put these posts on here because it's never going to happen.

The club has made it clear over the past 18 months that they are not going to invest in a team capable of gaining promotion. They have looked for cheap bargains rather than investing in talent.

I agree that the debt had to be addressed however the measures have been drastic. Many fans do not have that excitement or buzz because it is clear that we have a squad which is not capable of competing for promotion with any other teams. Invest some of the parachute payments and reduce debt more slowly rather than city becoming a perennial mid table team.

New manager, formation etc is fine but you do need a bit of extra quality players to excite the fans and to get them through the gates. Is everyone happy with another dour mid table finish?

Think both players would do a great job for City however we would not pay their wages or transfers fees. We are yet again lacking a proven goal scorer going into a new season.

Campbell yes, he had a good relationship with the fans here and we took him in probably a low point in his career where he didn't get many chances and was too injury prone but we give him the platform to make himself known again.. just think wages would be an issue but he was lethal for us in the Championship.

Mutch on his day can be a real force in midfield.

Both would be key players for us coming in.

I'm no fan and it seems it's because he can :(

Tan won't leave before he has recouped both his money and face in his own circles. It's a pride thing!

I'm just glad he's paying off said debt because it means that when he eventually goes we will not be in the position we were just before he came, i.e. moments away from closure (a fact many appear to have forgotten and even denied) :ayatollah:

Mutch has never impressed me at Palace.

I like Frazier though, does not score enough but he always gives 110% when called on which was very infrequently last season when Pardew played that joker Adebayor.

It's always dangerous signing players that have no recent form to speak of, anyone agree?

We signed Campbell the first time with no recent form as he was coming back from a long injury. If he's the same player I fancy he would get more goals in this particular set-up than he did last time.An unselfish player who's work rate was second to none and worth another chance and I don't think the money would be a problem if Trollope see's him as some one he could work with. Not sure about Mutch though.
