Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed Juventus are in talks with a club over the sale of Manchester United target Paul Pogba.

The France international was the subject of a£85million bid from Unitedwith Sky in Italy revealing Pogba has already agreed personal terms with his former club.

"Pogba is a Juventus player at the moment but we don't know what is going to happen," Allegri told reporters ahead of his side'spre-season clash with Melbourne Victory. "The club are looking after negotiations.

"Marko Pjaca is another quality addition for us so whatever happens with Pogba, we will be in good shape."

WITSEL ASKS TO LEAVE

Zenit St Petersburg boss Mircea Lucescu has confirmed that midfielder Axel Witsel wants to leave the club.

"He has spoken with the club and he has asked to leave," Lucescu confirmed to Calciomercato. "He has two offers from Italy and two from England.

"The club placed a high valuation on him because he is an important player, one of international level."

POGBA ‘NOT WORTH £100M’

Paul Scholes believes Manchester United transfer target Paul Pogba is not worth £100m.

“He was a very talented young player, I played with him and I knew how good he was," Scholes told reporters.

“I just don’t think he is worth £86m. For that sort of money, you want someone who is going to score 50 goals a season like Ronaldo or Messi. Pogba is nowhere worth that kind of money yet.”

On United’s completed transfer business, he added: “I haven’t seen much of [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan but he seems to be a good player.

“With [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, he was playing at PSG and there were a lot of chances created and it was easy to score in that league.

“Is the United team as good as the PSG team? Not yet, maybe it will be. So in this league he will have to do a lot himself to score goals.”

LUTON SIGN VASSELL

Luton Town have signed Isaac Vassell on a one-year deal after a successful trial with the club.

"We had him watched at Truro and wanted to get him into our own environment to see how he'd adapt," Hatters boss Nathan Jones told the club website.
