Pleased with this if true. Only saw him play for Wales but was direct and pacey. The wingers we have had have flattered to deceive for years. Go for it.

Could work out well hopefully but another promising young Welsh player joined us for the second half of last season and that didn't really work out.

Bit worrying that Fulham seem to be becoming our feeder club! :o

Trollope used to play for Fulham so that could play a part. ;)

Cardiff City manager Paul Trollope refused to be drawn on rumours linking the club with Wales ace George Williams, but admitted he admires the player.

As far as I'm concerned Cardiff is Cardiff. Wales is Wales.

We've got some kind of geographical genius here ladies and gentlemen.

Cardiff is in Wales. People from Cardiff are welsh. We can identify and affiliate with local or welsh players but of course they have to be at the right standard and there's lots of talent in the Welsh squad that we can take advantage of. Trollope knows these players and every manager will bring in a few faces he's worked with before.

I for one love seeing welsh players doing well at Cardiff and so do many other fans.

Thanks Nubbsy for your concern about my geographical proficiency.

Upon reflection perhaps my comments were a little clumsy.

What I was trying to say (as I am sure you are aware) is that my concern is for the success of The Bluebirds who I have followed passionately since 1962. If, for Cardiff to succeed we have a team of Scots, English, Irish, French and whoever else then so be it. Great if we have some Welsh players in there, but they must be good enough and fit with what Paul Trollope is trying to achieve. If George Williams fits the bill then fine - go for it.

Williams is a very promising player. So too is Emyr Huws. The good thing is that Trollope will know these well and they'll also have faith in him.
