By James Ross 18/07/2016

' WEST LONDON SPORT '

Monday 18th July 2016

Fulham are set to complete the signing of left-back Scott Malone from Cardiff City, with Jazz Richards moving in the opposite direction.

Former Swansea defender Richards, 25, is set to return to Wales after agreeing personal terms with the Bluebirds.

He was part of Wales’ squad for the recent European Championship and has made 22 league appearances for Fulham since his move from Swansea a year ago.

Richards impressed during a spell on loan at Craven Cottage the season before last but struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular last term.

Malone, also 25, is returning to London, having had a two-and-a-half-year spell at Millwall before joining Cardiff in January last year.

FOXES REJECT WALSH APPROACH

Sky sources understand Leicester City have turned down an approach from Everton for their assistant manager and head of recruitment Steve Walsh.

Walsh is the man who brought in, among others, Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante, who each played a key role in helping Leicester win the Premier League title.

Everton want to talk to Walsh about the possibility of him becoming director of football at Goodison Park, but Leicester are determined to keep him after he signed an improved contract two months ago.

We understand Walsh is keen to talk to Everton about the role, which would mean a promotion and him living closer to family.

There has so far been no comment from either club.
