It's being reported that Cardiff City left back Scott Malone is undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Fulham.

Wales Online report the story and say that the 25 year old, who has made 56 appearances for Cardiff with one goal returned following his arrival from Millwall, is undergoing a medical at the moment ahead of an impending move.

There are no suggestions of a fee but apparently a deal has been struck between both clubs, and the outlet suggest that with Malone presumably moving on, it could see a proper return from 21 year old Declan John given the current Welsh feeling after the team's exploits at the European Championships.

Of course with Paul Trollope's involvement there, nurturing John through the first team properly could be a long term plan on a few levels.

It's the same Declan John that did really well in the premiership at the age of around 18 I think.
He definitely deserves a chance at least.

Jazz hasn't actually been playing left back for Fulham but more as a right back/right wing-back at times

I remember when h was a kid at Cardiff and there was talk of him playing in midfield at times. I think he did play in midfield for Swansea a few times at reserve/youth level

So I don't see Jazz, if it happens, as slotting in at left back but providing cover in a number of areas.

Anyway, just my two pennies worth.

I think you're right he will either be a right back or he go into right midfield, Coleman brought him on against Slovakia I think it was and he went into midfield, so he probably has a range of places he can play.

It's a matter of opinion, I know, but I thought he was awful in the Premiership and has continued to be awful since. He can,t defend. If he wasn't Welsh nobody would be bothered about him.

Our whole defense struggled that year. You have to look through that and understand he was 18, in a new position, playing against the world's elite. The guy is a tidy football player with bags of pace and potential.

He played in midfield in junior football but very rarely moved from full back since he came through the Swansea ranks.

The 25-year-old defender is understood to be completing a medical prior to becoming the Whites third new signing in just over a week.

The former England U19 player is wanted to shore up a porous defence that conceded 79 goals last season - the third worst in the Championship, and an obvious replacement for a number of Whites who attempted to fill the spot.

Malone signed for Cardiff in January 2015 from Millwall and went on to make 56 appearances in all competitions for Bluebirds, scoring just once.

The 6ft 2ins player can also play left-midfield, and if the deal goes through will join Bastia forward Floyd Ayite, Hull striker Sone Aluko on the new boys roster at Fulham.

No one on here should be changing/adding anything to other people's posts. If I want to add a pic to a post I made, I'll put one on myself, I don't need a 'mod' to do it.

That's fair enough, all opinions welcome. Personally I feel mods do things like that only in the interest of illuminating the thread a bit, a bit of visual stimulation for the readers. Frankly, to be helpful. I guess our efforts on that are not appreciated or wanted as nobody has directly commented that they appreciate our time and effort to make the forum what it is.

I don't see why anyone would want to add a picture to someones post to be honest, if you have a picture just post it in your own message underneath. If the person isn't interested in reading the original post then they cant be that interested to scroll down and look at the picture.

As for Malone, no real loss however I would be concerned if we pinning hopes on John to star for us. Ive seen nothing to suggest he will.
