No. On what we've seen we'll get defence first, unentertaining football, and hopefully get the odd win or two with some occasional counterattack goals.

Yes because this has been the most unentertaining and boring period of Welsh fooball hasn't it. Top 10 in world football? Semi finals of major competitions? Breaking British records all iver the place? Nah.

Lets go back to losing 7-1 to Holland, 116th in the rankings... but really going for it! :laughing6:

Give me strength, and there was me thinking our attitude was so much better than the English. Maybe not. :laughing5:

Steve1966, I think the bitterness can be linked with the username. England are a bunch of underacheiving wankers, get over it!

I think Wales, with the resources we have at our disposal, have done fantastically well. My response was not to slag them off. I was responding to the question of will Trollope bring this style of play to the Cardiff team - and i hope he doesn't.

Where have i mentioned England ? You've seen 1966 (year i was born) and seem to have made an assumption to where my allegiance lies - and you've assumed wrong.

France might disagree with you.

End of our journey, been out in France since the 9th of June what a fantastic time we have had. So proud of our team, we never expected to get this far! Absolutely shattered now... "Please take me home"

Bitterness at its finest.

I've actually enjoyed these comments about Wales from the English and found them utterly hilarious after the unorganised, uninspired and gutless performances that were concluded and summed up with them rolling around on the pitch crying like babies after the Iceland game.

Pure gold...

Plenty to be proud about, lot of players and Coleman have grown.

Coleman before tonight got everything spot on. In my opinion even thought it was close I think Williams should have come in ahead of King who never really offered any kind of link up play.
Thought it was odd Bale taking free kicks in wide areas as well. We needed him in the box, I'm sure Allen could have delivered a decent cross.

Oh well onwards and upwards.

King was the only real choice surely, he has a much better level. Williams got relegated with MK Dons while King won the Premier League with Leicester and played a pretty major part in doing so. Although even with Rambo himself playing, I still dont see us winning that game, they were far too organised all over the pitch.

If your picking players purely based on where they play then why didn't England shine.

King is a good player but in that role, in that game he was pointless.

Williams would have linked play more and offered an attempted pass forward as he had already tried in previous games and sub appearances. Closest thing to Ramsey we had.

I wasn't suggesting picking players on where they play, but the ability they have. I dont think Jon Williams is remitely similar to Ramsey. Ramsey was a dog in defence as well as an attacking threat. Williams is not remotely a defensive player, where as King can certainly also put a tackle in. There is a major difference between playing for MK Dons to then being thrown in to face the likes of Ronaldo.

As for why England didn't shine, well they froze as a nation as they do time and time again due to media and fan pressure. Nobody can deny they arent excellent players but they arent together as a unit, we are.
