steel has been suffering for a while now, if it is viable it will survive whether or not we are in the EU. short term uncertainty was inevitable and the plant has suffered from incredibly bad timing.
its clear that it needs help in the form of government financial assistance and / or tariffs. we can't impose our own tariffs as long as we're in the EU.
hopefully low income earners wages will increase after a few years without mass unskilled immigration, for me that is the main reason i voted out. firms just have zero incentive to increase peoples wages whilst we are in the EU.

They can now trade with Australia, US, China, Japan etc., The future is bright.
