The EU is different from the leaders of the main states who regularly have to win elections, from today they start exerting their authority. The very sensible and powerful German manufacturing unions have already told the German finance ministers to get over there (UK) and sort this out, this will happen because the Germans are the only power.
Contrary to what Jean Clade Junker says I believe this will be a quick amicable deal which we may need to have another referendum to ratify it. I can see access to the single market, no Shengen or freedom of movement but a fast track to UK citizenship for those living here for x amount of years, visa free travel and study......
We'll see, the gloom and doom talk of recession and depression is in the hands of the German government, not the EU. I do trust the Germans to do the right thing.
visa free travel will defeat the reason for many who voted for the leave campaign mate, not sure how they could manage the movement of the dreaded immigrants if that becomes the case...
Norway,Denmark and Sweden are not in the EU but can travel freely through Europe without a Visa as they are part of Europe see no reason why Britain wont have a similar agreement
They also benefit from same medical treatment we get with EHIC , again they are not in EU , they get this because the countries they travel into want their own countries residents to have the same medical care if they were to travel to Norway,Denmark etc. Again see no reason why it wont be similar for UK

Probably from the polls. They were accurate again were'nt they? If it's only 18/25 year olds signing petitions, they obviously have'nt been taught what democracy means yet.

More
The petition for a second referendum on EU membership, which has now topped three million supporters, was set up by a leave campaigner a month ago when he thought his side would lose.
Oliver Healey has disclosed that because there was "no guarantee of a leave victory at that time" he set up the petition "with the intention of making it harder for 'remain' to further shackle us to the EU".
In a Facebook post, the English Democrats member said he felt it was time to "clarify my position on the issue even if it looks bad" and stressed that the remain side had "hijacked" the petition on the government website.
He said: "I am genuinely appalled by the behaviour of some of the remain campaign, how they are conducting themselves post-referendum not just with this petition but generally.
"The referendum was fairly funded; democratically endorsed, every vote was weighted equally and I believe this was a true reflection of the mood of the country. To my fellow leavers, now doubting their decision please keep the faith, we will be fine just stick with it."
The number of signatures is now way above the 100,000 needed for it to be considered for debate by MPs.
It says: "We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based (on) a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum."
Remain campaigners have staged protests over the weekend as tensions in the country mount between the 48% who voted remain and the 52% who voted leave.
Twitter users have reported dinner party "uninvitations" of people they have discovered voted differently but, more seriously, others have reported racist incidents.
Heaven Crawley tweeted: "This evening my daughter left work in Birmingham and saw a group of lads corner a Muslim girl shouting: 'get out, we voted leave'."

those that added their name to this petition are a disgrace in the way they hold democracy in such contempt. their beloved EU bureaucrats would be proud of their attitude to such a result.

This just looks silly. REMAIN should have done a better job communicating prior to the referendum.

Its all the gloom and doomers that are doing my head in.....The Germans know they can not let this turn into a recession as it will hit them very very hard, they export to us $100,307,055,625 worth of goods, they import $51,158,697,462 from us.
The Germans bank roll the EU project, if their finance falters the whole continent falls apart.
Our imports
Germany $100,307,055,625
China $64,147,253,698
United States $58,616,731,981
Netherlands $53,552,199,232
France $43,522,704,456
Belgium $34,027,390,157
Italy $28,451,179,240
Norway $27,675,457,511
Spain $22,037,264,390
Ireland $19,416,882,388
This will be amicable and quick (IMO) Ireland will be a huge worry for the EU, what happens there ?
