Well done Wales for choosing to cease to exist as a nation in its own right

The people of Wales voted to leave the EU. Wales is still a nation.

But the people of Wales (a majority of them, anyway) voted like Little Englanders.

There is no hope left for Wales. We're disappearing down a black hole.

There's always hope. We need to straighten ourselves out, ditch the English mentality and reassert ourselves joined with our Celtic brethren. We should form alliances with the Scottish and the Irish, and not the rabid, right wing Sais! If only people could realise we are on the brink of class war; Wales should get on the right side of it!

So you would like independence and trust Wales to Welsh asembly god help us!

Surely anything is better than the fantasists we are going to be landed with in Westminster! It'll be like being run by Hannibal Lecter and the Marquis de Sade!

Yet you trust Westminster with the family silver? We need a proper stronger voice now more than ever.. You may be right about democracy in the eu being too far away from the people but we are just exchanging Brussels for Westminster IMO . We need more power in Wales to fight our corner

When the Assembly came into being, it was largely toothless and deserved scorn. A lot has changed since then. People need to educate themselves and stop spouting twenty year-old talking points that you heard from an old codger down the pub!

Correct! From here on in the assembly will be the only organisation that looks out for our interests...it needs more power. Q
Hits frankly the thought of Westminster once again being in charge of most of our project cash scares the bejesus out of me! Whereas Brussels ring fenced Welsh funding ( via objective one), Westminster will not prioritise Wales .. Instead they will be more likely to redirect such funding to the more influential parts of the U.K like SE England and Manchester
