I intend this to be my last posting on Slade,whether he was a decent man or not is of no interest to me at all,I have judged him purely on his managerial ability and I have the following to say,his tactical ability was woeful his use of substitutions was poor his ability in the transfer market was uninspired and his team selections was at times totally bizarre,overall he was completely out of his depth at Championship level,all of this,of course is just my opinion

WEST HAM EYE HUTCHINSON

West Ham have begun talks over a move for Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson, according to the player's agent.

The 33-year-old played for Hammers boss Slaven Bilic in Turkey, and his agent Niclas Jensen claimed talks are ongoing.

“Talks are going well but we still need time. West Ham are not, however, alone. There are other clubs that want Atiba.”

I think a few supporters are so quick to judge but we have been in a transitional period and he has stabilised this club. He has managed to get rid of high earners with the board and he didn't have a pot to piss in last season and got us 45 games going for play offs and the teams above us like Derby, Burnley, Wednesday and Boro spent a fair bit like over 10 million and even QPR spent 12 million and didn't get close.

He managed to put this club in a respectable place, we are very stable financially and he was cheap option yes but the thing is we have supporters who don't want us to spend s**t loads but when we go cheap people complain that we need to spend loads.

I think he made this club into it's realistic position, people assume we should be competing with teams in the top 6 this season yet we spent jack s**t and we still ended up going 45 games out of the 46 challenging for top 6.. we had absolutely had no right to be challenging.

Despite all the flack he got I give him respect because he dealt well with the pressure and never once complained about the board/supporters.
