Re: Would you give Russell slade a new contract? POLL.

I've come round to liking Slade, but I don't think he'll ever get us up. We need a better manager in terms of signing players, tactics and consistency. There are plenty around and I hope we get someone as soon as the season finishes.

Name one affordable manager who would put us in the top 6?

Neil Warnock
Rotherham can't be paying him much surely?

Rotherham benefit as Warnock is from the area and it is hard to see why he would come to South Wales for the same money. I have no idea what Rotherham are paying NW but I would be very surprised if it was less than we are paying Russell Slade.

I think he's done all that was asked of him, and a bit more. I thought we would be a mid table side this season, particularly with the likes of Mason being our main striker. and we have improved by getting rid of players like Mason, Doyle, Macheda etc. Some of his signings seem a bit odd to me, but as he has been restricted by the cost cutting that had to be made, he has'nt done a bad job. I think he has done enough to earn himself more time, but still not sure if he is the man to take us to the next level.

I think the problem is that he hasn't been forceful enough and we've made some dubious signings which he might not have approved. However, players like Revell clearly were his signings and not up to it. I'd like to see McAleny back permanently over the summer...He's doing great for Wigan and I rated him.

Bizarrely enough Warnock actually lives in Cornwall!! I assume he has a flat in Rotherham area.

No, I think the first thing he would do in the summer is buy a big striker and we will be back to square one.
