As you know, it's just that they count STs, whether they are there, or not. Ironically, back in the 70s, the club always gave a lower figure than what it looked like at the game. It was a common joke amongst fans. Quite outrageous at times. Can't imagine why they did it! ;)

This is very true with that game against Hereford Utd as the classic example. They said there was 35k but the Bob bank was so full that night you couldn't hardly smoke a fag and I never saw anything close to that after.A turnstile attendant was the top job in those days.

Can't think of anything worse, REPULSIVE![You get it in every town mate port talbot is no different none of them follow rugby every week even blokes iknow are the same I'm not against rugby if I'm not honest I brought myself up on the to sports I played football and rugby but football was my no one sport when I talk about rugby to some people and past players they don't know who I'm talking about that sums it up for me but I was far more happier watching city yesterday than the rugby Cardiff Blues don't get big crowds and they say cardiff is rugby city bollocks there just as much football in cardiff as there is rugby

Too many cardiffians wanting instant glory choose man ure, scousers etc. Cannot be bothered to support their local team and actually belittle them.

What affiliation these people have to these teams I do not know and I imagine a lot of them have only watched them play at the CCS.

Strange how they suddenly become ardent Wales supporters when we play England - never has the saying "glory hunters" been more apt :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Guarantee If we are still around the playoffs towards the end of the season, fans will be back and stadium will start to fill up again

Exactly, there are 2 brothers I see in my local, one says he follows Utd the other pool, of course. It's like watching dumb and dumber they appear to have no shame. Of course they've never been to old Trafford or anfield bar the odd birthday treat. And of course when we beat man city they were bouncing around in the pub saying they always still like cardiff, but only w hen they are doing well. incredible, and unfortunately they are all over South Wales. Cardiff population nearing 375000 yet how many from the city go each week? 6000?? Got to be the worst in the uk for actually going. About to add 100,000 to our population too.

Problem is, the club has always be run badly and like amateurs. They have also always treated their own fans very badly and don't care about their own core support :bluebird:

As ive said in my post today, there are no fans to come back. This is a normal attendance for us, we only had that period since 2009 where people had the chance to experience the Prem for the first time where we had high attendances. 14500 is a fine attendance for a club like ours.

All jokes aside though albeit the above is actually a fact, The real Cardiff City football club has never been a big club, it just attracted thousands of glory hunters starting when Hamman turned up and then Premiership football. The failing was by the amateur staff employed around that time who failed drastically to retain the fresh blood " customers " - the club whilst at dizzy heights and still to of late has been operated like a village pub team whilst thinking they are Premiership quality !

The fruit stall's will make a killing with your lots tendencies to chuck fruit

Its always been the same , I enjoy the welsh rugby but Cardiff city comes first, it would have been a good idea if the game yesterday was changed to 130 then people could have gone to the City and then gone on the piss for the rugby after.

Quite a few left at 4pm yesterday to go and watch the rugby in the pub.

What annoys me is these rugby fans who slag Cardiff city off as rugby is saint blah blah but when Cardiff get to a final
in the past as we have a few times they get bloody tickets and turn up

Annis, on this fact it's great to see what home record we have and how good Slade and the team do with a near enough empty stadium on times to get results we have. :ayatollah:

Always say to egg mate who argues the case for rugby.... how many fans go away to watch Cardiff Blues? Then how many fans do we take away? That sums it up for me! :bluebird:

I had an invite to in the Grandstand on Saturday and took it up, and my view was of of empty spaces everywhere, I had 3 spare Season Tickets and the sad thing was, i couldn't give them away. Most people go to the pubs to watch Wales and pretend to be Rugby experts, when in reality to know Jack shit. Don't let me start on the woman dressed like daffodils waving everytime the camera is on them. On a Positive note at least those of us you did bother to turn up, made some noise and backed the boys from the start to finish, I do have a Cardiff accent :) :)

The support from the valleys is great fella .id struggle to find a coach to an away game from Cardiff nowadays.Back in the day you would have palmer running a bus/minibus to nearly every away game from my old boozer the Neville in grange, also Simmo (canton) would take a coach or two away, you would also have a bus being run from the docks(for certain big games),Eric from the duke (canton)would also usually run a bus/minibus to most matches as snowy (canton cross) has also done in the past.i imagine there's other parts of Cardiff that also used to take a bus to away games but not anymore it seems!Guess it's just a sign of the times. For me personally I think a lot of local Cardiff lads have been put off going home or away due to the strong police tactics,as nowadays they are dishing out silly jail sentences for next to nothing whereas back in the day it was much more lenient & you could go away with the lads watch the match have a good swish & whatever happened happened!nowadays though one pissed up mistake of sorts and your door comes off in 6 months time! I know a good few lads off bans now who simply haven't returned because they have 'grown up' if you like, also having to be a member to get tickets etc can be a pain in the arse for lads who only fancy the odd away trip or at the last minute fancy an away trip it's to much pissing about so people don't bother.........it's only my view but a hell of a lot of support has dwindled over the years in the capital city for the bluebirds(except our prem league stint obv) & for whatever reason I think it's a shame :bluebird: :ayatollah:
