Well then I guess that it's different wherever you take your seat in the Stadium. Preston fans probably couldn't hear us and vice versa. If you watch the game a few seats away from the away fans then you are bound to hear them. But I honestly couldn't from the back of the Canton. As long as our players heard us that's all that matters.[/quote

As a season ticket holder from 117 and Canton this is spot on, when your in the canton it seems it's decent enough and you can't hear away fans yet you get home and people will say the away fans were awesome!! And vice versa. Singers def need to be by each other.

Of coarse you can. The stadium is not the problem it's the muppets in charge that is out to destroy any atmosphere. But really also it's down to the change in the fans.

These posts grip my S!"t, why? And it's not directed at you, because fans moan constantly yet don't do anything about it. We will raise the roof against bristol, I also think we are all so spread out and separated by thousands of empty seats. I didn't stop singing against BHA but boy was it hard with limited numbers around you let alone those who wanted to join in.

Loads returning next year, we're all sitting together.

You didn't stop singing against Brighton?? Must of been on your own then fella. Who you kidding.?? Diabolical that's what it is an the sooner you hardcore pussys accept this the better. When we are getting described like a library then alarm bells are ringing. HELLO!!!

Accept what??? Yes it's diabolical yes it's awful yes yes and yes I did sing best I could against BHA and while I wasn't on my own, I wasn't far off. It won't change until numbers are increased vastly as cabton won't change to grange end.

I'll back you on this one mate, I thought we were quite good today!!!!

I was a former ST holder in the Ninian moved to the Canton this season, think the atmosphere hasn't been great this season but it sounds a lot better from the Canton. As to this standing in the Ninian surely if enough of you get together you can get form sort of group to go against this stupid rule, whatever happened to that fella during the pre-season who was setting up that group in the 116 or wherever, thought that was a great idea.

But what was up with all that segregation today it was bloody ridiculous :laughing5: :laughing5:

Our fans love excuses and there's a few in this thread. Just because the police are filming you does not mean you have to sit in silence, they are only film in case some tw*t throws something I imagine.

Player didn't mention it and it's hard to make out who's singing on player. They must of bought a couple of thousand then to make the noise.

I sit in the same block as yourself, half way between the goal and the halfway line. The preston fans were very good and in full voice but I could hardly hear the canton stand, I could just about hear the bass drum.

I moved to the canton stand for the second half and it was great. Loud and infectious chanting from our guys. The only time I heard the Preston fans was when they thought they scored ( they made less noise when they actually scored!).

it's not the supporters fault, but the rules.

moving our historical "grange end" to the opposite side of the stadium was a poor move for atmosphere, couple that with insisting our "bob bank" sit down, makes the atmosphere worse. We've all tried singing and clapping sitting down, it just doesn't seem right, it doesn't work.

if there is one last thing to address with Dalaman/Choo/Tan, it's this.

Please mr Nash, let the Bob Bank dance!!!!!

It gets tedious when you hear the canton sing about the jacks all the time. Then it's the 3 usual songs.

I honestly believe a few creative songs made BY CARDIFF FANS AND NOT COPIED FROM OTHER CLUBS.
May bring a few people back. Make it more enjoyable with a better atmosphere.

Re: ' Our Fans our atmosphere '

What struck me yesterday, was that the acoustics are indeed quite poor at the stadium. I sit in Ninian 116 and we can have the debate on how one set of fans cant hear the other, that of course could come down to how much one sets sings or how quite each set are. However, what is undeniable is that in an almost silent stadium yesterday, you can barely hear them banging a drum in the Canton! Every ground you go to these days has a drummer somewhere in the ground and can always be heard loudly, which leads me to believe that indeed the acoustics are not the best, which doesn't help in an already muted atmosphere.

What I will also say, is that there is now a sense of resignation among our fans that the atmosphere is crap and can't be improved. Over the years of decline in the atmosphere, around me it would be that fans would protest with stewards and tell others to remain standing and sing, this has now declined to the point where everyone just shrugs their shoulders at each other and comments how shit and quite it is

I would really like to Ken Choo or this new fans liaison, to sit down with the likes of Vince and Annis and some others and have a sensible dialogue about how we improve things.

I was in the canton yesterday and we sang a bit but it was far from a good atmosphere. Hardly heard Preston. Atmospheres are poor up and down the country. I went to watch Ajax last sunday and it was even poor over there which lead to me leaving the game on 70 mins.

Re: ' Our Fans our atmosphere '

From the back of the Canton you cannot hear any noise coming from both the Ninian Stand and the away fans section. How the hell can you have an atmosphere with banter if the two sets of fans can't hear each other? We must address this issue for the start of next season and have our standing and singing section NEXT to the away fans. Teza
