And killed the fun at the same time. And the powers that be wonder where all the fans have gone. You can't have it all ways. Simple really they have killed the enjoyment factor of travelling to see your team in my opinion. And anyway in my opinion us cardiff fans were always better behaved if left to our own devices it was when they started imposing sanctions on us that trouble ever started. Fact.
So don't travel because you can't slap someone?
What's wrong in still going and getting merry and enjoying the game without looking to slap someone?
Families attend now whereas they were concerned for their safety.
I was joking about the hooligan bit as that hasn't anything to do with attendances as it's all down to cost these days. I only venture as far as London and Cardiff but wouldn't venture any thither north of London as refuse to pay the costs plus I'm still banned because I refuse to sign any papers that the club are asking me too.

I still travel to away games but pick and choose which ones where as the days of the RAMS I would attend almost every away game without fail and I know loads of city fans who do the same. The demise of the RAMS played a huge part in my opinion, because it's not the day out it used to be.

I take it's the Valley Rams?, I met Valley rams at Palace at half time and they were spot on lads and they knew I was Brighton.
I've got Sky now so can watch our games till I fly out to Everest. We've put our prices up for next season whether we're in the prem or championship so pay on the day could be £50. f**k that.

The same with you and Swansea. I did have Cardiff lads roaring with laughter outside Witherspoons. Cardiff lads were outside have a beer and smoke so joined them and some Palace bloke (40's) was chatting with them and I was nearby and asked Cardiff for a light and we all got chatting and this palace bloke was shaking hands saying palace- Cardiff etc then he put his hand out to me thinking I was Cardiff and turned my back on him. He said hey what's up?, I replied I'm Brighton and here to watch Cardiff you mug and I wouldn't shack your hand even if we were the only people left on earth.
Typical Brighton, really? Yeah. You best do one before you get hurt so he wondered off.
The Cardiff lads laughed.

Anybody that does these journeys to support their team in the cold depths of winter deserves some praise. I'm afraid clubs like ours don't have significant enclaves of fans anywhere except home, and possibly London, unlike the so-called big teams.
The only people that should hang their heads in shame are the Football League fixture makers meaning fans have to do these stupid journeys in midweek, and the clubs themselves for pricing visitors out of coming. Not everyone has the luxury of a lie-in the morning after an overnight journey home, and not everyone has the spare 100 quid+ it costs to do so. People should get real.....schedule the games for weekends and charge 20-25 quid tops.....fans will come.
Also, a big thank you to the fans that were there in regards to the Ali Brownlee tributes......respect.
