Perhaps today's gripe will be he done it in 38 minutes so punters didn't get their money's worth

I know the b*stard, people had expected a good 2-3 hours of play and he lets them down again

£10k is a paltry figure given the difficulty of getting a 147. he is vastly underpaid in comparison to his talent. an average premiership player can go a whole season without playing and still pocket £3m. this man works for every pound he earns.
he is a talent, and up there with the messis and ronaldos of this world. i don't see what giving the fee to charity would do, anyway. its about getting the promoters to raise it to a reasonable level.
So why compete if not happy with what's on offer..???
because he loves the game, and the game is better for it. the sport is in decline and this will become clearer when he retires.
if you want to have a moan at someone who is supposedly out of touch, look a little closer to home. kenwyne jones, who has around 1% of of the talent of o'sullivan, was probably earning 5 times o'sullivans earnings.
this thread makes absolutely no sense at all. its a bit like moaning at a surgeon for refusing to perform complicated brain surgery for £50, completely illogical.
Or like Whittingham missing a penalty on purpose because his goal bonus is only £50?
The sport is in decline, but to purposely pot a pink instead of the black on a 147 is pathetic, I bet every person in the crowd who has paid money to go and watch would love that 10k. Out of interest, what's the prize money like for winning different tournaments?
