Absolutely agree with you! Mr Tan hasn't had to watch the dross that's been served up these last 2 seasons either!

In terms of our promotion season, it was a weird one. Malky did spend a lot of money, but think back to some of the signings. Kimbo and Mutch were about £2mil each but only played half the games throughout the season, Maynard cost £3million but only played a couple of games before getting crocked. He ended up getting us promoted with the bulk of the team he put together for peanuts the year before, yet still burned through a lot of money. So in a way he should have achieved the success he did, yet he still did a good job with what he was working with.
On to Slade now: Considering the constraints he's had to deal with, and the wage he's on, he's definitely done a decent job. Sure he could be doing better, sure we could hire a better manager, but he's done nothing to deserve anywhere near the amount of vile abuse he's had directed at him this season.
Malky also bought Joe Mason for 250 -300 K who went for 3.5 million, and most most of signings were transferred for the same money, Maynard injury wasn't Malky's fault, just bad luck. Just one bad buy, so take 3 million from Mason's tranfer and it evens out.
Slade is not my cup of tea better that OGS yes but not in Malky's league, however he has done what he has been told do, also seems to be a nice guy and yes he doesn't deserve the abuse he gets. So let's all get behind him and the team for one big push to the Play offs

He actually said at the meeting that he had watched every game live via video link.

You can find several links online to say Ole was on 4m a year or 75k a week with us.
As ive been saying for some time. £120k a year my arse.
75k a weekif that's true then that is clearly way to much no wonder we have ffp problems
Plus a 2m bonus if he kept us in the PL or promoted from Championship in 2nd season !!!

I believe the 4m for solskjaer was £2m actual and £2m bonuses
So slade could well be on £150-200k but he could also have big bonus incentives

I suppose we'll have to take his word for that then won't we? If this was the case surely even he would have to agree the football served up by Slade's teams has in the main been dire! (The even he bit means does he really understand what a passionate football fan wants from the team he supports?) How many times have the remaining loyal supporters that are left come away from a game feeling what a great football match that was? I for one don't remember many over the last two seasons!

How did they let him down?
Massive profits on Mutch and Mason. Smaller profits on Campbell and Gested. Money back on Medel, Caulker and Theophile.
Several of the players are still here and would get a good fee for them.
He made one "loss" and people keep using that against him. Strange that no one does the same about Alex Ferguson, and therefore say he wasted millions and was dodgy and corrupt.
If Malky was corrupt please show me the evidence?

There is no evidence, Tan has been scraping the barrel trying to dig up anything he can to justify his decision to sack Malky, even allowing himself to get conned out of giving 50k to an agent for some information which was fabricated nonsense.![]()
Totally agree with your post, Malky only ever made one bad signing who had recently been awarded Denmark's young player of the year and broken into the Denmark national team. It was a gamble which drastically failed, but Malky had no control over the transfer fee and wages paid.
Malky builds a squad of free transfers first season to take us to the playoffs and Carling Cup final, plus fees for Kenny Miller, Joe Mason and Ben Turner, (which I think was around 1.8 million in transfer fees for the 3 of them?).
Then Malky gets backed the second season and we walk the Championship title by 8 points, making tens of millions of pounds for our club by taking us to the Premiership and he's still making money for our club now with the parachute payments we are getting.
So Malky haters, please tell me how Malky has wasted all this money at our club?

Tan has been left hurt & embarrased by Malky and Ogs spending spree, he has since found a manager who has embraced the City theme, wants the club to succeed and most of all, a manager who has an open n honest profile, something I think Tan likes.
Slade is a decent guy, I like him as a person and want him to succeed with us - I just wish everyone would jump off the Malky boat and embrace City as one so we can all pull in the right direction

Tan likes Slade because he is cheap and does what Tan tellls him without question. Like when Slade said we would not sell our top players and a week later sold Mason for £2m less than it was claimed they wanted.
Slade has done nothing to bring on youngsters, even though the club is trying to cut costs. His answer is Revell and Doyle (£1m wasted there). His tactical skills are non-existant and does not inspire confidence when speaking.
Unfortunately the supporters will not return or unite until Tan has gone, or Tan stops his vendetta against Malky (the man who made him £100m form the PL).
Tan is a bully and only backs down when supporters have stood up to him - either vocally at matches or mainly by just not attending as teh massive drop in attendances is showing. Very sad imo.
