Na not having that mate Wales rugby could have a test against let's say Australia or South Africa the big stadium would still be a sell out. So it isn't just because it's the six nations.

But a test against say Canada and the stadium wouldn't be sold out. It's not just about playing the big teams mate.

Why you not accepting that rugby in Wales pulls a bigger crowd than football in Wales it's a fact it's not made up its the truth, f**k me thick or what.

And that's the reason why Wales football play at ccfc because they couldn't fill the Millenium last few I went too in the Millennium before the switch they opened 2 f*cking stands like. Piss poor.

Because we don't play there now? So cannot say wether last thew games would have! Suspect they would have sold out though?

Under Mark Hughes we sold out the Millenium Stadium v Serbia, Finland and Azerbaijan. I think some of these on this thread have not been football fans for long.

So if we played Brazil in the big stadium tomorrow it would be a sell out would it? f**k off who you kidding it would be half empty and you know it.

You know full well it would be sold out you are being arguementative to the extreme! If you think it would be half empty I suggest you know nothing about football fans?

Was thinking the same thing myself. It depends who the opposition are as far as crowds are concerned. If the rugby team were playing the USA or Canada or someone similar there is no way it would be sold out. If the football team were playing Germany or Italy in a qualifying match, it would be sold out as has been proven in the past. As far as sport in general is concerned, Cardiff football and rugby shared a ground not so long back. Who were getting the big gates when that was happening, and who were playing to almost an empty stadium.

No, we are talking about Wales being a rugby country and why the Welsh don't get behind their football. Anyone with half a brain can see that Wales is no more a rugby country than it is football. Go into any school in Wales on a Monday morning and listen to what the kids are discussing when it comes it sport. Check out how many are watching Cardiff City & Swansea City and how many watch the Ospreys and the Blues. Wales are a rugby country for maybe 4 or 5 weekends in a year. What about all the other weekends.

Totally of the boil now fella taking too far like always. Talking about schools and stuff. Lmao. You ask any1 with half a brain what no1 sport in Wales is average citizens not die hard football fans and they will tell you rugby. Wales is famous for it. Fact whether you like it or not I don't like it as much as you don't but I won't tell lies either. Biggest sport in Wales rugby and I stand by the truth.

Wales probably would have sold out the millenium stadium v Belgium, Israel and Andorra last year. The welsh public jump on the football bandwagon when their playing well. Thankfully we now play in our stadium so the crowd is limited to proper football supporters and we have a great atmosphere to go with it. The guy who started this thread is clueless.

Spot on. When I moved to Scotland I had a look at their autumn international fiztures and it was 2 games for £35 (cheap seats) but against SA and NZ. Been supporting Scottish rugby ever since. The 6 nations games go from 25-85 quid depending on where you sit. I dont mind paying 25 quid if it means I can go to more than one game.

rugby internationals are just the occasion, day out for the lads and the ladies, and good fun too..football is a passion , where us fans actually care about everything that happens at our clubs, from results and day to day running, and we even know all the rules, not like rugby fans..rugby internationals are sold out in england too, not like the english football at wembley, still does not make rugby bigger than football...club football is the biggest sport in the world and in wales too..no welsh rugby club can match the crowds our top two football clubs get, except maybe on boxing day, where they all come out of the woodwork. ospreys average 5000, cardiff blues no more than that, or newport.

Cannot stand the rugby. The it's ok to piss in someone's pocket and smack them in the teeth because it's rugby high jinx

You cannot wave at the football without being arrested.

But, it is a social event. Most are there to cheer the beer and get smashed

Football is bigger in Cardiff and surrounding areas
