They will come back if Tan reverses the rebrand they said, fact is majority of our fanbase, red or blue will only watch us when we are doing well they never said.

If the rebrand hadn't been reversed last season I believe we would have been getting less than 10,000 this season.

Of course you are right about the fact that many supporters will only watch a successful team, but then that's pretty bloody obvious isn't it.

I'm not disputing that but people said our crowds would increase, we'd be getting 25k per game etc. Hasn't happened, people are staying away and they used the rebrand as an excuse.

I would imagine certain stands may be closed off next season to get an atmosphere going. If 500 away fans come to we may get 7500 with luck :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Some deliberately depressing figures guessed at in many posts here. The same happened last season when many of the usual suspects predicted we would be down to 10,000 per game this season. I'd be amazed if we get any home attendance of less than 11,000 next season. I think most of the good time Charlie's and people who haven't got the backbone to support the club in so-called 'bad' times have gone already. Various reasons / excuses have been used to justify this from shirt colour to Tan to Slade to stewarding to atmosphere to pricing (this last one is the most ridiculous when you compare us with many other Championship clubs). Note, people did not flock back in their thousands when we went back to blue, except for one game! Slade is the most recent excuse - he won't be here next season as his contract ends and there is no likelihood of him being given a new one. But people won't come back any time soon unless there is real success on the pitch. This may not be a bad thing as at least those left might be, hopefully, supportive of the club and not so damn depressing and doom-mongering all the time.

The truth is that we have been close to 10,000 attending on a number of occasions this season.

For the past two seasons I haven't bothered with a season ticket.
I first started going to the city around 1984 age 11 and I got my first season ticket around 89. I've followed city and Wales home and away but in all honesty I've lost the passion. The rebrand and crap football killed it for me and in all honesty I find it difficult to bring myself to go. The season after we got relegated from the prem cost me almost £680 for me and my 13 year old for season tickets and the football has been piss poor. My eldest son who turns 16 next month is looking to join the marines so the money I would have spent at the city has been spent doing different things with the kids and family.

I've gone from a passionate supporter to someone who now follows the city via tv, Internet etc even through I'm originally from CAERAU and now living in bridgend it's only 20mins away and Ive no real excuse for not going accept the footy and atmosphere is crap.
I now don't see the point in wasting cash on crap when I can spend it on my home, holidays and family. If City started playing some decent football I would start going again but at the moment the football is crap. I have been with the family but it's difficult to keep a 6 year old who plays footy every Sunday at a hell of a pace, happy and content watching crap.
I'm hopeing city have a changed in management and that vt does one and we have a owner who actually turns up and shows commitment but until then my visits will be few.

Mind you we find the Cardiff devils is a class night out.

I don't recall anyone saying we'd get 25,000! Of course the majority of City fans were very happy to see us back in our traditional colours, who wouldn't be, but I don't think anyone really expected a particularly big increase when we were playing some of the most boring football in living memory. There were literally fans falling asleep on the seats.

Stop making excuses, rebrand, style of play just get down and support your club. If you are a true fan you support through thick and thin, not go through a list of excuses for not going. If you can't do that then f**k off and plastically support the other shite that plebs from around here wank off over!

I'll be renewing.

I am never sure how many games I can go to, due to work mainly. Some seasons it will be a lot, some will be not many. But I'll still buy a season ticket.

I couldn't turn my back on the club, and I know there are a few others who can't. Unfortunately there are some who just wanted the success and now are nowhere to be seen.

Others, to be fair, have family commitments and I truly believe you have to put family first so completely understand that.

I haven't been to a match since the FA Cup match which was horrible, but I'm already looking forward to my next game which will be Charlton away in two weeks. I haven't enjoyed the football this season, but the fact that I'll be there next season and the seasons after will never be in doubt.

BUT I don't agree with people calling others negative about the crowd figures. 5,000 season tickets is probably the most likely. When you think we have 9,500 this season and many who are going won't renew. There are also people who have only been to one or two games this season and they won't renew.

I think halving the amount of season tickets is the most likely. We will have sub 8000 crowds for a lot of games. But a lot of us said we'd rather be there with the loyal fans and not just gloryhunters, or rather be blue in League Two than red in the Premier League.

Now is the time to stand by that statement we made. The worst is yet to come, and it will be interesting to see how many go then or how many posts we have on here in comparison to now.
