I had forgotten Mason was on the pitch until a rare occasion when the ball got played to his chest and well...he must have had springs in his chest as the ball bounced about 40 yards away!

A neutral must have thought Pilkington was the out and out striker and Mason was out of position not familiar with his role. What a contrast in performances!

There was a direct comparison between Mason and Pilkington in the first half when Pilks played in Mason who pretty much panicked when he saw Camp coming off his line and just swung his right leg, nearly an air shot, shinned it and missed. In the same position, with the roles reversed, and in almost identical positions, Pilks took a better first touch and hit the ball first time with the outside of his left, before Camp could move and scored. The difference between a quality player and one making up the numbers.

£5M my arse.

Anything around 1m would be brilliant business.

Luke, I believe the club are just trying to get publicity to try and sell him.

Agreed, I was very impressed the way Pilkington took his goals. He looked a natural finisher yesterday. Pilkington is a quality footballer who has now become more involved in his new role. We need to keep playing him up front, he's wasted on the wing.

Mason really does flatter to deceive I would keep him out of the team from now on.
