He also tries to say the sale of Shelvy to a relegation rival is ok because they got £12Million for him,he's deluded £12 Miion is feck all when it moves Newcastle up the table and results in them getting relegated.
Every football fan and pundit in the country can see it's stupid, but Roathy is trying to gloss over it and say he's happy about it![]()
Curtis is out of his depth he didn't even want the job...........
The loss to Sunderland was only a sign of how poor the officiating was. Any sane or fair minded football fan can see that. Its like sending off Ronaldo after 5minutes for simply oassing the ball, and then saying his sending off is a sign of how poor he is - it was an refereeing blunder, thats all.
£12m is massive. We dont rely on loans, the £12m for a disruptive and poor footballer can be put towards strengthening the side in areas we need. It makes no odds if it was to Newcastle or not. We need to get points ourselves, if we get another 19 in 17 games, we will be fine in my opinion - regardless of what Newcastle do.
We may sell them Gomis too. With my blessing, providing we have a replacement waiting.

Love how shelvey is a poor footballer now he's left. Ran the show for the Geordies yesterday and proves that with good players around him he is quality. He's a vile individual and not the best in the dressing room but he will ensure that the Geordies stay up. That could spell trouble for Swansea.

Aramore - are you counting?
Bakedalasker, happy to debate this thread with you. But as a mod i really dont think you should be perpetuating posts that dont contribute anything to the subject and designed primarily to derail it or take it off topic. Is that a fair suggestion?

Your going to get banned again soon. Just take the hint this time and don't bother returning.

Banned for making a perfectly reasonable and balanced counter to some pretty unbalanced opinions regarding my club?
Oh the cheek of it, "we want to stir some drama unapposed God Damn it!"

So you think that if a ref sends off one of your players and then gives the other side two phantom goals, you should still win if he gives you a controversial penalty? Im not sure if you really believe that or are saying it to be funny? The latter does work some what though,

We will never know what the outcome would have been if the refs didn't make mistakes. The fact of the matter is your a poor team who's won just 4 times this season. It won't matter if you go down will it? Your historically a lower league club.

That is not a fact that is your opinion. The outcome would have been us playing with 11 men and not conceding those two goals, thats certain and all that needs to be noted. But yes we have won 4 this season. Hopefully now we are playing better under better guidance we will win many more.
Jonjo Shelvey is historically a very poor man, however he is now rich and he will surely never want for nothing ever again. History is irrelevant.

We all on here will be in shock if we replace them in the premier.
What?where do you get this stuff from?
The only people that have the attitude you describe is the newby fans who have only seen us in the top 10, the majority are quite upbeat and realise we are in a transitional stage and a fantastic place financially if it does happen to bounce right back. Id be shocked if we went down and genuinelly dont think we will. A win against Watford on Monday night and we are a few points off mid table. The drama you lot continue to wish to paint yourselves is... amusing shall we say.

Can I borrow your crystal ball for the numbers next Saturday? It only embarrasses me when someone's obviously wrong on the subject of the jacks. They have every chance of going down, not saying they are but they're in a very precarious position now and have been languishing in and around the drop zone for some time now.

Im not Roathy, i always find it interesting as soon as a debate starts to go against people how many times and quickly that word is used, watch out for it in the future, its uncanny.
But to answer your question. We have projects and investments, we have two academies, a new training ground and a possible stadium purchase in the pipeline. We dont wish ti take loans or have outside "investments" so we must earn our miney rather than just put our hands out and get it. I dont know our net spend, but now Shelvey has gone id imagine there would be circa £20m in the pot to spend, £25m if Gomis leaves.
Its about spending it wisely now.
