If he did get us promoted I'm sorry to say I still don't think I would want him as our manager. I wouldn't be surprised if he's given a new contract though on reduced wages, he would probably be the cheapest manager in all the leagues

He's already on a cheap enough wage.

It would probably be voluntary then

As a way to force him out Slade won't take that.

I agree! Are we forgetting the last 5/6 bad results!

Today we got it right and a great performance from noone! But it still doesn't change my opinon on Slade!

As good as it is to get a decent win it's almost more infuriating to see what can be done with our squad as opposed to the recent turgid performances we have endured.

I would like to see him gone asap, I would (at least) give him petrol money to get home.

:sladeout: Let Trollepe have the reigns till the end of the season.

Wez, I am def not a Slade fan, but there is No point sacking him this season as Tan would only let Trollope and Young run the show. Tan won't put a better manager, so we are virtually stuck with him till May.

So like him or loath him, Lets All get behind our team and Support them through till May :thumbright: :thumbright: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We have not had a bad season to be fair , seen as Slade has not been backed with money.

Who knows after todays brilliant display/shock win ,you never know where we could end up?

Hell of a turnaround on your opinion in less than a week

100% agree. We won't have anyone fancy coming here at the moment so let's support what we have. Experts always say that people perform better when being shown encouragement so let's show some :ayatollah:

Exactly one game doesnt change anything. If we get ten wins on the bounce then fair enough. Yes its an improvement but that doesnt change my mind. :sladeout: :sladeout:

Exactly. The only thing consistent about Slade is how inconsistent we are. We will win the odd game every 3/4 games because we've got some decent players. Not good enough though, 1 good performance every 4 games is just not good enough.

100% NO turnaround, Ive always stated Tan and Slade should go together.

Because all Tan will bring in is another puppet.

Whilst that's true Annis, I would have more faith in Trollope being in charge until the end of the season than I would Slade. That's how low my opinion of Slade is.

I say get him out, put in Trollope as interim/caretaker manager. Then we can see who's out there in May.

Ned, Many say Tan has his input, Trollope does the tactics.

I was told Slade had lost the dressing room, but to be fair today, was our best win of the season, not just the result, but the attitude and togetherness.

Was it Slades last stand?

I just want May to come ASAP and don't feel anything would get better under Tan with Slade gone now.

Sorry Annis, but I have to disagree.

I think Trollope is a good coach and the players react more to him than they do to Slade. You can see that every match on the touchline.

I think it would be a better transition for Trollope to be in charge until the end of the season. I just believe that would put us in a better position than if Slade carries on until the end of the season with no real chance of him beyond with us next season.

I'm not saying Trollope should be the next permanent manager, but he'd be a good fit in the short-term. You can't doubt his credentials. He's been a coach in the Premier League with Norwich.

People always mention that Russell Slade has never steered a club to promotion, but Paul Trollope did with Bristol Rovers in his only managerial job. He was arguably unlucky to be sacked from them as well.

Not knocking Trollope but why when we do shite its Slades fault and when we do well its Trollope, its a absolute piss take.Trollope was not there today and they seem to have reacted pretty good without him and based on todays performance it would appear that Slade has certainly not lost the dressing room either.

Problem is as i see it is there are too many wannabe football managers on this forum and none of us really know what is going on. Give him the season like Annis says and start looking at the bigger picture.

Bloody hell look at the likes of Charlton in relegation with a 5.0 and 6.0 loss on the bounce, now thats a club with problems.

Agree.
Dinosaur.

He cuts a lonely figure having to speak pre and post match and take all the flack from the shite that the club has become.

While the guy is here, I wish we could lift the atmosphere for him and players by getting behind the the current team and manager. Who wear OUR colours

The club is barmy.

If slade has to go then so does Trollop as well the whole coaching team is wrong but after yesterdays game it is clear that Slade has not lost the dressing room that was a good solid performance.

Whats saddens me more is yes people are not happy with the owners manager but Wolves are lower than us in the league
and they had 24000 there supporting their team we are lucky to get 15000 .

Dont think he will get us up. Though i hope the result yesterday has at least gotten him a bit of begrudging respect, people arent going to be changing their minds now.

4 winnable games coming up and we have some catching up to do. If we arent within 1 result (3 points) of the playoffs by the end of them then perhaps we should look elsewherw

I think that he is under so much pressure, even 1 loss in those 4 games could be enough to tip his job over the edge.
