I find that a very interesting quote by the chairman, claiming a couple of signings wouldn't assist or aide our chances of making the play offs, that is the biggest indication yet by the chairman that he has little belief in our manager in my opinion.

Your spot on Carl... It's nothing to do with anything else :sladeout:

Pretty obvious really, but that doesn't suit some of the agendas on here. Some of the anti-tan conspiracy theories would be funny if they were not so sad - some from those who said they would gladly accept lower league football as long as we played in blue, and now deny it.

And they wonder why fans can't be bothered turning up at home games,it's one thing after another. How can we be so lucky to have a billionaire owner but so unlucky to have a billionaire owner mess everything up, Tan has a lot to answer for, I know not everyone will see it like that but how he's managed to do so well with his other businesses is beyond me. We can blame Slade, Choo, Dalm, etc but it's Tan that's employed these people and has the final say in anything. I guess u just keep supporting the club and hope there's some positive news around the corner.

Reading between the lines Tans obviously written some of the debt off or put money in to make it look like there is no loss but you're not allowed to do that. That's the whole point of ffp to stop billionaire owners with bottomless pits of money just propping club up with their own cash.

In December 2014, right in the middle of the 2014-15 season, details of a new mortgage was filed at Companies House and this must have something to do with this. The PDF you can view on the CH website doesn't give details of the amount of money involved but does list VT as the person advancing the monies.

Dalman talks about a "Technical" interpretation of the FFP details but it looks like someone has come up with a cunning plan and it has backfired. The question is without the monies advanced in December 2014 would we have made a profit or a loss ? and if it's the latter how big a loss ?

Club is a shambles and this is the latest evidence of this.

I know many have believed that Tan could only ever be bad for our club, but I think this is the point where all of us realise that this relationship is only going to end badly. How bad, depends on whether or not Tan chooses to be companionate rather than just hard nosed business like.

Re: " MEHMET DALMAN SPEAKS OUT "

Sat Jan 16, 2016 12:09 am

Dalman doesn't rate Slade agreed but Tan really couldn't care less.
Slade won't be sacked by Tan until he thinks he can't squeeze anything else out of the situation we are in.

Re: " MEHMET DALMAN SPEAKS OUT "

Can't see what all the fuss is about. We were never going to be doing much as far as bringing new players here during this transfer window, whatever some people might have thought. It will sink in eventually that Tan is not interested in this club, as a few of us keep saying he is trying to cut his losses before he attempts to get out altogether. Slade is doing what was expected of him, trying to help with cutting costs while ensuring we are still playing Championship football next season. Been saying all season that we are destined for a finish of between 12th and 15th and that Tan won't be in any rush to sack a manager who is doing exactly what was asked of him. Fans who still think we are play off material must be taking something pretty strong. Our first priority is to get to the 50 point marker, and to try and stay well away from the relegation battle. I don't think this club will have a sniff of Premier League football while Tan is in charge. My advice would be not to believe everything you hear from those running this club. They will make the right noises to get as many people as possible through the turnstiles. I doubt if the transfer embargo has come as any sudden shock to those at the top. They would have had an idea this was coming even though they continued to say that we were looking to bring in Watt permanently, as well as looking to sign other players.

Re: " MEHMET DALMAN SPEAKS OUT "

Sat Jan 16, 2016 8:22 am

Bigger problems could be 1- the football we are playing.
2-the fact he doesn't rate the manager and tan does.

He maybe hinting at tan to sack the manager and making his point known.
if in one sentence he's saying we didn't lose money and the next hinting as many have said liquidation, his first statement would make no sense.

Re: " MEHMET DALMAN SPEAKS OUT "

Sat Jan 16, 2016 8:25 am

Maybe it's time for fans to turn on dalman. Heard lots of spin from him and whilst he always seems charming I wouldn't trust him as far as I could pee into a gale force wind. If pressure is put on him he might then be forced to do something about Slade rather than alluding to the fans that he doesn't rate Slade.

Our club is a complete shambles and that I a direct reflection on Tan. It is like they're running it in to the ground. I would suggest a boycott of the ground until they come out and tell us what's going on. Mr Tan... Shameful leadership!

Not a Tan cheerleader but a realist.

The drama on here is bordering on hysteria. We have been in much, much, much more serious positions than this. We join a band of much bigger clubs on the embargo list. We are not an embarrassment, nobody cares about us, we are pretty insignificant.

This appears avoidable, which suggests to me its what the board wanted. We need to condition some of our fans to our plight. We need to live within our means, for our fan base and income we have too many or overly paid footballers, the embargo is doing its job. We need to strike a balance.

Reckless management has caused this, the covenant between fans and the local club has been severed, nothing is irreversible, but its going to take time. So if customers next season decide to chose not to purchase a season ticket then this is going to get worse.

All this daft name calling is so childish it beggars belief. The black Friday give-away was in a different universe to this.

By pissing Tan off ( there you've made me swear again) and banging on about the shirt colour rather than concentrating on matters on the field where it really counts. Not to mention our very existence as a football club which was in jeopardy when Tan took over and still is today because of the way some "fans" continue to slag him off. Including you of course.

Are you really that stupid? Tan and Dalman must be counting their lucky stars they have a manager who has helped severely cut costs while keeping us comfortably clear of the relegation zone under our current circumstances!

Our bigger issues are much greater than worrying about Slade, who continues to prove he's doing a decent enough job keeping us challenging for the playoffs with all this going on behind the scenes! We won't do any better than Slade now, so try supporting the poor bugger. He's getting continually shafted by Tan!!

Do you seriously think Tan gives a hoot about what a small group of people on a forum thousands of miles away say about him.
