If we can we should recall Doyle or Le Fondre and utilize some of our younger players who haven't had a chance.

Slade needs to go asap otherwise season ticket sales are going to collapse.

I still believe that with a good manager our squad is capable of a top 6 finish. :bluebird: :bluebird: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I agree

I'll have a word with Choo and Dalman tomorrow as I'm sure they'll be at Wolves, mingling with the away fans and having selfies taken like they were earlier in the season.

PS what ever happened to Tan's promise of converting debt to equity and leaving us in a better position than he found us? Another in a long series of lies from the mouth of a total con artist and charlatan.

On the bright side at least the clown wont have anymore money to waste on the likes of Revell and O Keefe.

On the flip side we are now stuck with these duds.

Maybe the Club knew what they were doing.
Spend to get to the Premier league and never mind the fair play rules - depends if rewards are greater than the punishment.

Tony Watt deal off as Bluebirds slapped with a transfer embargo by the Football League, but club say they may lodge appeal against decision

Cardiff City have been slapped with a shock transfer embargo, WalesOnline can report.

The news will rock Bluebirds fans and prohibits the club from bringing in any new players on permanent deals this January to boost a top six promotion push.

The first casualty is striker Tony Watt, who has become a hit with supporters during his spell on loan. Manager Russell Slade was hoping to sign him permanently from Charlton, but that deal is off for the time being.

The Bluebirds have been banned from signing any players by the Football League for breaking rules on Financial Fair Play.

They will continue to be stopped from paying fees for permanent deals until they convince League officials they are falling in line with the regulations.

The Financial Fair Play rules were agreed by Football League clubs in April 2012 in an attempt to encourage financial stability in the Championship and below.

The rules were designed to reduce and limit losses being made by clubs. A failure to stay inside the loss limits results in potential sanctions.

The Bluebirds' finances have not been helped this season by many fans voting with their feet and choosing not to watch Slade's side.

Slade's Bluebirds languish down in ninth place in the Championship and last weekend crashed out of the FA Cup at the hands of lower league Shrewsbury.

Just 4,782 fans attended that match, making it the second worst attendance at a Cardiff City Stadium game. The only worse figure was another FA Cup third round encounter, when this time last year Slade's Cardiff overcame Colchester in front of just 4,194 spectators.

A statement from the club read: "Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that it has been made subject to an FFP embargo during the January 2016 transfer window.

"Whilst extremely disappointed that the Football League has decided to take this action, we will remain co-operative and compliant with the League’s position in respect of Financial Fair Play.
"Having fully disclosed all matters in respect of our FFP position for 2014/15 and having taken independent expert advice, it is our firmly-held view that Cardiff City Football Club has indeed complied with the FFP requirements for season 2014/15 - contrary to the League’s position.

"As such, further advice will be sought, prior to a decision being made internally as to whether or not an appeal will be lodged.

"The embargo, in place (albeit subject to possible appeal), will stay in effect for the remainder of the January 2016 transfer window.

"Cardiff City Football Club again expects to trade within the set FFP limits for 2015/16 and therefore anticipates full participation in the summer 2016 transfer window."
