SIMON MOORE: Was not pushed into too many heroics to be honest. Looked OK-ish, but a bit dodgy with his kicking at times. Davis Marshall has nothing to worry about really put it that way. 5
FABIO: He at least brought a bit of urgency and danger with him which was lacking for too long at times. Seemed an unpopular move when he was taken off. 5
GABRIEL TAMAS: It is pretty unusual to be making your debut for your new club in January after arriving in the summer, but that was the case for the centre-half. Will be wondering about his part in the visitor’s goal too. 4
BRUNO MANGA: The centre-back needs game time one supposes so he was one of just two survivors from the last league game. Looked composed and untroubled for much of it. 5
SCOTT MALONE: The other survivor from the Blackburn match and you really wanted more from a player of his seniority. Failed to push on enough even against League One Shrewsbury. 4
SAMMY AMEOBI: (man of the match) If his overall time at Cardiff has been a disappointment he at least looked bright and lively here. Lovely quick feet at times, there were mistakes, but was unlucky to see a shot hit the post. 6
KAGISHO DIKGACOI: He started the season as first choice, but has now drifted out of the side. Was not surprising he looked a bit leggy in a largely forgettable display. 4
STUART O’KEEFE: Another player who barely troubles the first team, but O’Keefe at least game it a go here. Was willing to see the ball as often as he could and push forward too. 5
PETER WHITTINGHAM: For a player of his stature he failed really to get enough of a grip on the match. His delivery from the dead-ball was not up to his standards and he had left his shooting boots at home. 4
ALEX REVELL: The much-maligned striker was back and once more he was prepared to put a shift in even if the quality once more in front of goal was questionable. 4
FEDERICO MACHEDA: Back from injury which was great, but the striker may have covered plenty of ground, but he got minimal reward for it. A few neat touches, but hardly impressed overall. Way too quiet. 4
