do you honestly believe that we will now concentrate on the league? What a cop out, we could have gone on a cup run because, lets face it, we are going to do jack shit in the league. I'm sorry but some of you Slade lovers really need to wake up and get your heads out of your asses, your in the minority as was heard tonight :old:

But we are in no competition and only in the league so we just end the season here? We are not far behind the play offs and yes things don't look bright on the pitch with performances and results but we just got to keep pushing up the league.. Hopefully we get Watt signed on perm and one or two more we could possibly get better results.

Dando, I do admire your optimism but come on, I'm not talking about him saying that we can now concentrate on the league I'm saying that he always states the obvious because he chats drivel all the time and never has anything to say that is constructive. We may be only 4 points from the playoffs but that's because other teams around us have slipped up, I'll be amazed if we finish higher than 10th. At least we agree on something anyway, we are both fans of Whitts

Sometimes it's not the fact that we lost but the manner in how we lost. I was hoping that if we had got through,we may have had a big team at home in the next round and that may have created some interest. I can't understand why he played players who are free to leave,he should have played the youngsters who at least, may have shown some hunger for the game.

I was a Tan supporter but not any more, I'm just embarrassed to be a supporter under this regime. Take a good look at the pitch, sums the club up. Didn't matter in the "old bad days" because everyone had a Barry Island pitch, today? It's just another total embarrassment. I don't get it, we're only a decent manager and a few players short of the Premier League and all the riches. Mr Tan is a canny businessman and surely the riches on offer are worth striving for? Or is us going tits up a better bet as a businessman? Tax write-off?

Whatever, I'm out and I wont be back, shame.

Sadly you're right.

Nobody does care that a loyal supporter like Lincloln Blue who has had a season ticket for over 50 years has had enough.

And that includes the club he has supported for all those years.

Typical of the way longstanding loyal fans are treated by the club nowadays I'm afraid.

Agree and seen it all before. The club does'nt care and neither do a lot of long standing fans who are deserting in their thousands. Happened a while back when our gates quickly went from 20,000 down to 12,000, and not long after were less than 5,000. Unfortunately, with little revenue or interest in the club, there will only be one direction we are heading in. Unless something changes soon, the team will be playing in virtually an empty stadium, and probably a division or two lower than at present.

Me too Steve, I would be very sad to hear of longstanding fans like Lincoln leaving, as it saddens me so many good people have left already. I'm sure some of our fans don't really understand the implications of it

Suprised it's taken you this long to realise that Tan doesn't give a shit about you or any other fan at this club. He only cares about money, that's why this guy is a multimillionaire tycoon. He said it himself, to him you are just a replaceable statistic and if we gain success again some half whit will fill your seat, so unfortunately the regime you supported has resulted in you making this decision. If more people stood and fought in the first place instead of being blinding by what was the farcade of the Premier league then we may still have some soul left in this club.

I'm not going to goad you for leaving, it's your decision but that's the reality of it all.

I am more disgusted than I am gutted.

at the end of the day league finishes will be what slade is judged on, and so to hammer him for a reserve team loss in the FA cup in this day and age is ridiculous, but what i have come to expect from cardiff city fans.

in an ideal world i doubt slade would have someone like macheda in the squad, let alone the starting 11. i counted 7 fringe players in that starting 11. plus its not as if shrewsbury are in the conference, they are one league beneath us.

well done to those that made the trip though. sounds like the effort and commitment of the players was roughly that of the fan base, so who are we to complain?

It goes deeper than that its the attendance decline that will seal Slades fate tomorrow.

well, what will a change of manager achieve if tan is still running the club? this falsity that things will improve, and that fans will return if a new manager is appointed will be shown to be just that when we go on a poor run, and the fans start to pin the structural problems at the club on the new manager. if the manager is credited as being a tan appointment or influenced by tan then his fate is already effectively sealed! crazy.

Simply put, if Slade was Tan's appointment brought into the club to cut costs etc...well a cup run would have been a welcome earner for our cash strapped club. No disrespect intended, but a Championship clubs' reserves should be capable of beating the Shrews at home....again Mr Tan, the Slade and Young Combo ain't working... I haven't been this embarrassed by your running of the club since you promoted the Painter and decorator, please enough is enough. Sack the Laurel and Hardy duo and give the club the brand of football worthy of 20-30,000 fans and you too will profit.
