Cardiff Team badge of Shrewsbury Town Shrewsbury v
KO 18:00

Cardiff City duo Peter Whittingham and Kagisho Dikgacoi look set for recalls for Sunday evening's FA Cup third-round tie at home to Shrewsbury Town.

Both central midfielders have been out of favour in recent weeks, but boss Russell Slade may make changes against the League One strugglers.

Shrewsbury have made four new signings since the 7-2 defeat at Chesterfield - the club's worst loss since 1964.

But only two, striker Andy Mangan and loan defender Jack Grimmer, can play.

Midfielder Richie Wellens and striker Kyle Vassell are both cup-tied, but Mangan can play, having only been an unused substitute in Tranmere's fourth qualifying round exit at Lincoln,

Anthony Gerrard, who played at Wembley for Cardiff in their League Cup final defeat by Liverpool in 2012, missing a penalty in the shootout, may feature against his former club after a hamstring injury.

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
•This is the first FA Cup meeting between Cardiff City (winners in 1927 and beaten finalists in 2008) and Shrewsbury Town, who have twice been quarter-finalists (1979 and 1982).
•The two clubs have not met since April 2001, when the Bluebirds won 3-0, the most recent of four straight wins, all of them in which the Welsh side scored at least three goals.
Cardiff City
•Cardiff will be playing in their fourth successive home FA Cup tie, of which they have won just one.
•Since reaching the final in 2008, when they lost to Portsmouth, Cardiff have made it though to the fourth round four times, progressing last season at the expense of third-tier side Colchester United. But they were upset by non-league Macclesfield in 2013.
Shrewsbury Town
•Shrewsbury have progressed from just one of eight FA Cup ties against sides from a higher division since Kevin Ratcliffe's side beat Everton (and a young Wayne Rooney) in the third round in 2003.
•The Town last made it to the third round four seasons ago when Graham Turner's side lost 1-0 at Championship side Middlesbrough.
•They have been drawn away from home in all three rounds this season, but are yet to concede a goal. They won 1-0 at Gainsborough Trinity in round one before beating another non-league team, Grimsby Town, by the same scoreline at the Meadow after a 0-0 draw in the first game at Blundell Park.

Oxford Utd v Swansea
KO 12:00
TEAM NEWS
Oxford will be without on-loan striker Chris Maguire who has been told by his parent club Rotherham he cannot play in the FA Cup.

Swansea manager Alan Curtis will rotate his squad, making a number of changes.

Goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt, defenders Jordi Amat and Kyle Bartley, and wingers Jefferson Montero and Modou Barrow are among those set to come in.

MATCH FACTS
•Oxford have been drawn to face Swansea on one previous occasion, with the Us eliminated on penalties following a replay in 1993.
•Oxford last reached the fourth round of the FA Cup in 1999, when they were beaten 4-2 by Chelsea in a replay at Stamford Bridge.
•Swansea's 3-1 defeat at Blackburn Rovers in the fourth round last season was the first time in four ties they had lost to a lower-ranked team as a top-flight side.

Chelsea v Scunthorpe KO 14:00

TEAM NEWS
Chelsea have only one fit striker in Diego Costa, with Radamel Falcao (groin) and Loic Remy (calf) absent.

Blues midfielder Eden Hazard will also be missing from the third-round tie, because of a groin injury.

Leading scorer Paddy Madden is expected to be fit for Scunthorpe, despite a tight hamstring.

Tom Hopper and Gary McSheffrey return from injury but new signing Conor Townsend will not be involved as he is cup-tied.

MATCH FACTS
•Chelsea's only previous FA Cup contest against Scunthorpe came in January 2005 - the Blues won 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.
•Scunthorpe have not beaten a top-flight side in the FA Cup since beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 in the fourth round in 1970 (drew two, lost 12 since).
•The Blues have progressed from the third round in each of the past 17 seasons, last falling to Manchester United in 1998 (lost 5-3).
