Abuse is out of order. Problem is he is out of his depth but doesn't excuse fan abuse.

If slades out of his depth then what are all the other managers below us in the table that that's the thing I don't grasp. He's not many choice as manger but he's ours atm. Never seen f**k all like our supporters towards players and the manger before, maybe it's just the way modern football is and why any have fell out of love with it in general.

It's out of order and I think the fans who constantly shout words of abuse at him should be thrown out! Yes all managers come under criticism and fans have thier own opinion on which decision is good and which decision is not but to hear it constantly around where I sit, it's abit of a joke. ...the fans who do it are a joke. I don't know whether slade Is goi g to work out at Cardiff - I honestly don't think anyone can tell - there's certainly inconsistency but that is only when I compare it to seasons where we have been up the top 4-6 places. I think some people forget we had players like Bellamy, Ramsey on loan and others who had a lot of experience with previous promotion. I do not think any other manager that we have had would have put us in the top 4 now with the players we have (some people may disagree with this). I can't make my mind up on slade as he's very unpredictable and so are our squad but this does not mean we won't do well and this also doesn't mean that he deserves a lot of abuse. Quite frankly why would he want to do well for our fans if they treat him like that!

Yesterday I was chatting to a guy I work with who told me that he lost is cool during one of the Xmas games and ran down towards the dug out and shouted abuse towards slade. I can't repeat what he was supposed to have said but it was well out of order and I'm surprised he was allowed to stay and watch the rest of the game.

I really do feel for Slade as he has never had fans on his side since day one but he has gotten on with the job and personnaly, I feel he hasnt done a bad job under the circumstances.

As other posters have said, some of our fans have been disgraceful this season to the point where it is them putting me off attending future fixtures not Slade.

Those very last few words you said hits the nail on the head! If I think about it, other fans have put me off going more than anything else this season! One of my last posts were about people calling and shouting out abuse at various players and the manager. I'm fed up of it and you know what, in the end it'll be city fans that will drive other fans away sadly!

Its not a new thing, manly players and managers before have had abuse, the likes of Dave Jones and Bothroyd used to get all sorts thrown at them during games.

I think its due to frustration, and I think we all get frustrated trying to watching him "win a game" with like for like subs that make no impact at all and then throwing away late goals

I find it odd no one is backing this claim...... When we gave away comfortable leads recently through poor management you can understand this will happen....

To much as happened at the club more wrong than good - promises constantly broken - rebrand broke the club and no one really new how much until recent attendances - Yes back in blue thankfully but that should never od happened -

all types of staff being sacked from the bottom right up to the top regularly - no drive or enthusiasm amongst the players to bond themselves with the fans like times of old -

Begging for fans to return ready for sale of next years season tickets no doubt - they think they struggled this year - next year will be worse


enough doom and gloom - Support the player no matter what but I personally find it impossible on many occasions to see what tactics slades playing - lost to many points and scraped a few together on a wing and prayer - Championship was there for the taking this season as many teams have been really poor and still managed to make us look 2nd best

some people go to matches just to vent their anger. i've heard people screaming abuse at our own players like joe ralls (seriously) for making mistakes and joe mason for not running around like a headless chicken when he was clearly playing injured / ill. every time we go down a goal they shout abuse at the manager.

are these football fans? of course not, they are people who come to scream abuse at people who will not respond back because if they did that on the street they'd be on the floor.

but sadly this sort of fan is becoming more common in football, and its very sad.
