I would rather us being the worst side for 70 minutes and winning games. Unfortunately there is no points for being the best team.

What worries me is that we are decidedly average. We are picking up a point here and a point there. We start talking about being unbeaten but we are moving away from the top 2 and now moving further away from the top 6.

At this time we are two games behind the play off sides and, imho, the results are not suggesting promotion.

This Slade out thing is becoming a joke. Just because we aren't having instant success you all moan about him. Take your blue and league 2 it would be a lot worse. We played some decent football against Forest and MK and were unlucky also at Birmingham. Forest unbeaten in 6 and clearly were going to settle for a point when we equalised. I guess its Slades fault also for our miss passes which we get punished for?

We actually played some entertaining football tonight and I am not a Slade fan.

CARDIFF CITY TONIGHT DID ENOUGH TO WIN THE GAME, BUT HAD TO SETTLE FOR A DRAW

Not good enough though as if you keeping losing your away games, you have to win your home games

' Cardiff had over 60 per cent of possession and 17 shots to Forest's six '

To be fair to City tonight we saw some great football for at least 70mins of the game

City now 6pts below 6th position

The pressure was on today for Russell Slade to deliver a home win and please the die hard City fans.

Cardiff went in to this game on the back of 2 away defeats on the trot,but with a very good home record, Forest also with a good home record but not so good away.

In the 9th min a hell of a run by Forest opening City up and ending with a great shot 0-1 Forest but thankfully minutes later a move started by Gunnarsson and ending with a cracking goal by Gunnarsson 1-1

After 30 mins City had dominated with 68% possession and 9 shots

City continued to impress right up to half -time with Fabio, Gunnarsson, Ralls and Noone all playing well

You said we deserved to win,did you not see the second half?, how many times did we make their goalkeeper make a save?, its no good playing pretty football if there is no end result, we all need to be realistic and say that where not going to make the playoffs with this team and manager

Enjoyed the game,should have won,looked 15k there but not that worried and thought Whittingham looked class when he came on.

A low intensity performance with City spending almost the entire game playing the ball around in front of the Forest defensive lines. Some decent play in the first half should have seen us at least a couple of goals up at halftime but that is becoming the norm for us.

Substitutions did nothing to improve our tempo and the intensity level just dropped off the scale as the game dragged on and the draw was a fair result. We are now firmly adrift of the playoff places and showing little to suggest we can close that gap.

Something needs to change and quickly.

We are predictible our final ball is not there Jones and Ameobi have still not changed my mind it was sloppy from Ralls that lead to their goal but we fought back and got level and the celebration was odd hmmm anyway we need some pace sooner Saadi or another pacy striker to go with Watt the better and Noone started well but then faded and overall it was 2 points dropped and we need to go on a winning run now to stand any chance of play offs and Bruno my MOTM.

Totally agree with all of this! Bruno was outstanding! He has to play'. He is by far our best centre half! I thought Connolly could have closed Burke down for those goal but stood off and invited the shot, way too much time to pick his spot! When no one went off we lost our width! Ameobi is poor! Just doesn't offer enough, slow and laboured in possession!

I don't know what game you were watching but it was a great game for the most we created some good chances and played the game on the deck no hoofball.
We just need to convert more of the chances we are creating

One of the reasons I thought this was a mid table side before the season started was based on our strikers. I could not see where our goals were going to come from, and never thought for one minute that Doyle would be the answer. Jones has the ability to score goals at this level, but unfortunately does'nt have the attitude. A decent strike partnership along the lines of Bothroyd and Chopra or Thorne and Earnshaw could have made all the difference, but I suppose that's easier said than done. Looking at the Championship this season, there is a fine line between the top teams and the also rans. Two or three more quality players could have seen us challenging the top sides.

Ian, Yes thats whats been happening the final ball its been going No where and Slade does not seem to know how to use,get a good striker, he brought in Revell and Doyle who were def not good enough.

They could not break down an average Forest defensive team. City were devoid of anybody able to pick a forward pass, time and time again they went sideways, and most crosses came in from deep which were as usual poor. Jones was lazy again. Watt had to come deep to collect the ball.

From memory, De Vries had one save to make, from a Ralls shot.

City had one good spell either side of Forest's opener, missed 2 excellent chances (Watt & Pilkington) and had it not been for a fluky equaliser, and 2 Forest misses 2nd half, we would have lost.

The club is losing its way, 1 point out of 9 testifies to that.

This is an average division but if a football club plays a high tempo forward moving game, then they will do well. City do not have the ability to do that.
