Same reason pep Guardiola tinker his team. No one can predict what is coming, and no one can make a educated move against it. It takes some time to gel, and involve more players than the managers who stick to one or two tactics. ole told you why he used the players like he did. Just like Ferguson he wanted players to challenge eachother and rotate from both tactics and players form. Both progressing the players and the team. It's a progressive managing style. its difficult to dominate midfield when you are playing in defence. I think the fact that Vela was filling in at right back has something to do with it.

I think the club let Ole down. He needed an experienced director of football to work with. Instead there was no one and he made bad decisions and bought too many players.

Without some football sanity helping him he was never going to take us back up.
