We have a fair proportion of embarrassing and greedy fans who are blind by what's going on.

We are in a rebuilding process and going through a transitional period and the reason for that is mainly down to Malky and Tan for messing this club up.

We are cutting costs and this all comes down to the idiot who can't spend money wisely Malky.

I personally believe where we are in the table is where I expected us to be, in and around the play offs. We haven't spent much and we are in a strong position where you got teams like Boro and Derby who for me have to get promoted this season otherwise next season it will not be pretty for them. Hull who have kept a lot of the core of their team who took them up and brought in some very good players to add to it. Burnley also.

We beat a top 2 team at home this season and picked up a point away at a very competitive team in Brighton this season.

I ain't saying I love Slade or a huge fan but I can only respect the job he is doing as he is just steadying the club on the field and trying to get us high up the table as possible.

I just can't stop laughing at some supporters who want him out and whinging, it sounds like we are in the bottom 3 it really does and it's embarrassing to read.

That's a fair opinion,

This season was about pushing on from last year, the club stated the ambition was play offs and even promotion hopefuls. Summer transfer window was appalling and of slades 2 lists we failed to attract 1 targeted player. We have only won 2 games on the road all season and besides Bolton you have to go back to August for that win. We have struggled against poor sides including Rotherham, Preston, mk dons and Bristol city. We were very lucky to get 3 pts against the very poor Bolton side.

I totally appreciate everything you have said but I still don't agree that slade can do anymore for us. He's never won promotion, I don't think he has what it takes. We continually fall apart in the 2nd half as other managers adapt and change tactic, we are far too predictable and easy to read. Slade doesn't know how to adapt and he makes changes far too late to have any impact.

For the club to progress it's my opinion that we need a change, we can go 2 ways with this, push out and get an experienced manager at this level with a proven track record such as Pearson for example or we can go to the lower league but for an up and coming manager, young, hungry, passionate and offering a more modern approach on the game. Ie Justin Edinburgh..

There is another option that I feel would give the fans and club a lift, would bring bums on seats and that would be to give Bellamy an Interim role until end of season with a view to making it perm depending on how we do. He has played and worked with the best, has the passion and desire and would command respect.

At the moment I don't see us going anywhere, other than mid table, hardly progression from last yr. we must also remember that the parachute payment amount drops next yr and if slade is to remain in charge I fear for the amount of season tkts we will sell next season.

You backed up your opinion fairly compared to some I have spoke to on this Slade issue.

I don't think sacking the manager at this time of the season will do us any good.. especially where we are in the table.. If we are below 15th then I would probably be okay with it.

I personally feel like we should stick with him until the end of the season.

Hopefully 1-3 players to be signed with some going will kick us on.

I think a lot of people are being naive and some are carrying agendas.. one minute they want us to level the costs of transfers, etc then next minute demanding players and us to spend money.

I think depending where we are at the end of the season then the sacking can be done. I personally wouldn't like him to be sacked right now.

I am just being realistic and took some consideration into where I stand on it.. where some just cry after one thing then sling the ol phrase 'Slade Out'.

Tuesday is a huge game, it could put us 1 pt from the play offs or even 7, it could also put us 2 pts from 16th. Do u feel that we are slipping away or staying in touch bearing in mind we were 6th and 3pts clear of 7th not so long ago.

There's never a right time for change but 2 positive examples I can give are Norwich and Watford.

Norwich were struggling , inconisistent win some lose some and the guy held his hand up and stepped down for the good of club, they brought in
A young hungry manager with a modern idea on football, they went on a great run and secured promotion.

Watford made countless changes, but the last change they got right, again a great run was put together and promotion secured. Same manager is working wonders at the moment.

Now I'm not saying a change is going to give us promotion but I do feel it will give us the next step and platform to push on in January while there is still enough games to make an impact. I feel if we leave it to end of season, another mid table finish will not inspire people yo come back the following season, attendances could further drop.

Well, another game gone, another wasted opportunity ....

Same old, same old.

How is it going to change ?

Would a managerial change really make that much of a difference to our under performing team ? I think it might as long as the whole of the back up team was replaced as well.
Might sound a bit harsh I know, but we are just treading water at the minute. One question I keep asking myself is "why is Scott Young with the 1st team set up ? Surely a 1 and 2 are all that's needed in a management set up ?
Why do we need a 3 ?
Especially someone without any background in 1st team management ?
All I ever see in Scott is that game against AFC Bournemouth when he took off Javi Guerra, straight after Bournemouth scored their 3rd goal after just 30 minutes or so of the match, probably the most bizarre decision by a manager I'd ever witnessed.
Scott will always be a legend with us because of THAT goal against Leeds, and you always got 100% from him on the park at a time when quality wasn't in abundance, but surely that doesn't qualify him to be where he is with the 1st team set up right now ?

We might just now be in free fall ?

1 win in our last 6 matches now , with Wolves away on Saturday.
Its not looking good is it ?

Team confidence in tatters, increasingly looks like the manager HAS lost the dressing room.
Thankfully, we probably do have enough points to avoid a relegation battle, but the football is appalling and oh so predictable, even to the point of radio pundits correctly predicting what Slade is going to do next !

It's no surprise that so many current season ticket holders are staying away despite having already paid for their tickets !

It's the Slade way.........

S - Slow
L - Laboured
A - and
D - Dreadfully
E - Empty

We are the 29th best team in the country, although possibly if you add in Scotland then the 30th. Mind you, that is a bit positive for the miseries on here. :bluebird:
