So frustrating today but a entertaining match and its not something weve been able to say much recently

I thought you said recently that it was all about results, not performance

Yeah. You can judge performances on a game by game basis though. You cant do the same with results. This one game in isolation doesnt mean we are failing this season. Looking at the league table we are in the right place and a home game tuesday.

With manga in the side i thik we have a lot to look forward too. We played some good football against an impressive side today

Very entertaining for once Paulh I will admit :thumbright: , but we threw 2pts away once again did we not?

Plus where was the crowd if Tan/Slade are doing such a great job?

I dont care less about the crowd. I go to matches and others can do what they like.

Its definately 2 points lost but hard to put your finger on what exactly happened. THey scored a good first goal to get them back into it. We had plenty of chances to put the game to bed when 2 0 up and that ultimately cost us i think.

Goodngame though, and i would have taken 4 points from these two home games so onwards to brentford! :ayatollah:

Put the result aside it was a good entertaining game today :ayatollah:

But we've ended up with 2pts from 6pts in our last 2 home games and been 2 nil up each time and cruising.

Yes I will be there Tuesday night like you :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Re: " HOW THE HELL DID WE THROW THIS AWAY? "

The problem was that we didn't score a third goal in the 15 minutes after half time. Wednesday were always going to have a right go at us after that, and scored a couple of good goals. Still better than the performances we were turning out 6 weeks ago. Let's leave Slade alone and try to pick the team up for Tuesday

Very good in parts today but can't keep it up all game.

Just like against Burnley we looked in control for most of the game. Just like against Burnley we finished the game on the back foot looking like a completely different team as the opposition gain the belief that they have a chance as we are incapable of closing out the game or finishing them off.

8 goals conceded in the last 4 games and yet I bet that our best centre half and full back will start on the bench on Tuesday.

That's why I want :sladeout:

David, Slade has proven time and time again he can't be consistent with the results or performances.
City need to beat Brentford 2 nil at home Tuesday night, a very ordinary team they are and no more excuses, we have a strong squad available :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Correct Annis.

We had a great opportunity today to go on a run of wins - We should be going into Tuesday's game looking to win three in a row but Slade's team just cannot string two wins back to back.

It's this inconsistency that guarantees we will fall short this season under Slade - for me we will be mid table at best.

No doubt Slade will be claming we're unbeaten in three games!

Very disappointed losing a two goal lead again, could Slade have changed players/formation - of course he could have.
Unfortunately we are leaking goals just when we have started scoring a few.Our defence needs a shake up and Manga must come back in.

You ask in another post do we deserve poor crowds ; well they will stay away because of results like these.
Slide is clueless and before we have " well we are near the top" bollocks with this squad we should be TOP this league is the weakest for a long time ... :sladeout:

Funny story is, deep down I can understand why so many fans stay away, our club/fans are still broken and Slades football does not help.

I disagree Annis, the first half wasnt good attacking football. We are just used to rubbish. It was just above average play though and we deserved the lead. Second half we dropped stupidly deep and they tore us to shreds although we still has chances.

Agree with Paul though, at least it was entertaining.

In all fairness I think we had our best side out today with the exception of Manga and Fabio. Slade is starting to learn, however, tactically he is still a novice. Anyone could see the answer after 2-0 up would have been 4-5-1 with Digkacoi on gor maybe Noone, simples!

The lack of coherent in-game tactics again lost us 2 points. 2-0 up and going into half-time with a much improved balanced squad should have meant that we thicken up midfield in the second half and press higher, not sit deep. Their manager Carvalhal knows that we wouldn't do it and they then set up to overload & over run us in that area.

There were two things that I thought RS was going to do today and that was keeping the same squad as last week and then changing formation as part of the game plan when we were comfortably up. I was pleased that he did the former but not the latter and that is what cost us. I really thought he would have learned that lesson by now as this is parks football tactics 101.

I enjoyed the game today but I'm not happy with a draw, as I thought that lessons had been learned in terms of tactics and in game management and that for me is the piece that is missing and cost us the points in a game that we had bossed for most parts.

RS is a good man-manager and a decent bloke. If I take the sentiment out of it, quite simply, he is not getting the best out of the squad in terms of results due to what appears to be a lack of overall tactical management and we are too easily sussed.

When the front two got tired after 50mins the team went deeper as we were not chasing down from the front.
We need to get our strikers fitter to last the game.

This was a wasted chance against a Sheffield Wed side who were 2-0 down against a City team who were creating chances.
We need to press further up the pitch so we dont have to defend so much, nice to see the goals going in at last shame that there at both ends.
Going to be differcult to change in training as we have 3 games in week but needs to be done asap if we are to challenge top 6 for play offs. :bluebird:

We should not need 3 goals to finish teams off, 1-0, 2-0 should be good enough.

Wayt was knackered but still did more than mason.

Thought Jones came alive second half and did well until he was subbed.
Problem was we dropped stupidly deep, I'm assuming instructed to by Slade.

Luke, compared to the rubbish and dire football Ive seen under Slade so far, Watts runs at their defence and getting the ball in the box, was much improved on previous games :ayatollah:

Second half I totally agree with you :thumbright:
