If your losing that many fans then maybe the club need to look at themselves. That many people can't be wrong.

Nonsense. There was thousands of Premier League club fans in the home end during the Premier League season all wanting to watch their star players on the cheap. These people were not Cardiff City supporters. Neither were the day trippers and opportunities.

Sadly, trying to make time to get down from Birmingham every week is proving to be problematic for me. Need to move back to Cardiff in time for 16/17 I think!

Lots of posters say that the club should be doing more but no real suggestions have been made.
apart from giving us a winning team, what can the club do better? My season ticket works out £15 a game roughly so it isn't the cost.

Re: " CARDIFF CITY DESERVE BETTER SUPPORT THAN THIS "

Sat Dec 12, 2015 7:54 pm

Half the price of the tickets and that will start to bring the crowd back...

I'm a season ticket holder so matchday prices aren't a big deal for me personally but I really can't blame the fans for not wanting to pay roughly £30 for a ticket to watch that bullshit out on the field.

Good price.
In my opinion season tickets prices were awful, mine even went up and for what. Although I was never renewing.

Even match day tickets, pensioner's £22, Christ how much is a normal ticket.

I have said before this is about the level for this club we only had big crowds for couple seasons mostly glory hunters and people getting tickets in case of good cup run ending in Wembley now we are back at this level they have gone back into woodwork only to come back if ever we go on good run but certainly not this season

Annis,I had been going since 73, I sat near you in the Bob bank, sat next to Roy in block b last knockings at Ninian and was ST in grandstand following the move until last season.
It drained every ounce of love for the club I had.
I like many others have found something else to do on a Saturday, even when local matches have been cancelled, I've had no inclination to go back

And its sad to hear, but I can totally understand where your coming from, because thanks to Tan and his Red army of muppets I have felt like that on quite a few occasions.

Blind loyalty does not work anymore.I live in Port Talbot so with a couple pints a bit of grub with may ST I am averaging £75.00 per trip. Caving in time after time does not help.I am beginning to wonder why? If blokes on huge wages cannot put their foot in and bleed for the club why should I.This sounds negative but after years of this little wonder people satay away.

You've been mugged fella, if it costs you on average 75 pounds to attend a game from Port Talbot. Are you sure you are not exaggerating a bit?

Annis, weather probably playing a factor also?

Jamie, it never rained,a bit cold, a slight wind?

If it was Manchester United at home, it could be the worse weather going and the stadium would be a sell out.

Its less than 2 years ago and City were getting 27,000 plus every home game, no matter what.

Annis,

I went out with my family had a great meal.

If we had been playing Man Utd I wouldn't have been there :bluescarf:

That's where the Club and others have got it wrong :bluescarf:

In the last few years Ive much prefered being away with my family than a day out at the Cardiff City Stadium, No passion,No feelings,no atmosphere and an owner who does not care.

But City are like a drug to me and if I am in Wales I just can't miss a game, but my love went during the stripping of our identity, the Red Brigade who now don't go themselves and the divide of our fans.

I understand why those who were broken by Tan don't go, but the so called Red Brigade? the Glory hunters and the fans on here who say Tan and Slade are doing a good job,yet don't go themselves :o

But to see the ground so empty hurts.

The Red Brigade...have not seen them or their leader all season. Is this the guy who shouted from the rooftop "you support your team whatever" as a dig at the likes of TLG?

The Club show NO loyalty to the true fans and treated us like shit in the Premier League.

Bored of this and bored of people's excuses, understand people's reasons for wanting to stay away but don't understand the reason to keep coming on forums saying why they don't go. It's gone it's done, the new fan is our future because a lot of our old fans have lost interest

Re: " CARDIFF CITY DESERVE BETTER SUPPORT THAN THIS "

The excuses never cease to amaze me. We are on the edge of the playoffs and perhaps with a bit of vocal support and a decent crowd we may be able to give the players a lift to get better results.

And as for £75 a game, why not just go for the match and not add on all the extras? Eat before you go, cut out the beer and support your Club. Simple.

Spot on mate. I always laugh at people who make excuses about the price of going to a match and then bang on about beer and food etc.

New fans will replace old fans that's just the circle of life in reality. If there is supposed to be 250000 on the database then it shows that there are a lot on there who are obviously not St holders.
If the marketing side had anything about them these are the people who are their target but i don't know if there was or is any strategy to bring back or encourage fans to watch their team and also to reward the fans who have retained St tickets. Only my second game of the season yesterday and couldn't wait for it. Even the result in the end although disappointing did not retract from a rare day for me watching my local club. Looking forward to the next game I can attend.

Re: " CARDIFF CITY DESERVE BETTER SUPPORT THAN THIS "

Years ago when we were shit, at least we had an atmosphere, a buzz in the pubs in Canton... that is not there like it used to be.

The ground is lifeless, you cannot build an atmosphere and people don't want to catch 2 buses or a train in the cold to watch boring football in a lifeless stadium.

Now a lot of these fans have stopped going it is going to take a lot to get them back and only a winning exiting team with a good atmosphere is going to bring then back.
