Re: " SLADE IN/OUT POLL "

Time to go. Poor performances overall. Don't think we will catch the top 5 now. About 6 - 8 teams going for the 6th place.
We need someone with tactical knowledge and to see how games are changing in front of him, so we can change formation/players/tactics to counter act that

He has been given money to spend!

No he hasn't. 2 loan signings, 2 free transfers and Saadi who's a Tan signing. Slade hasn't been given a single penny to spend this season.

Ahh this season....

Nice way to twist things to suit your own agenda. So the money that was wasted in january doesnt count then?

I voted Slade In.

I don't think that the football is anywhere near as good as it should be with the quality we have in the squad but given the task he has been given and all that has been done and going on then I accept he is doing far better than I imagined he would.

Or the 15m spent on the squad last summer of which most of those players are still at his disposal.

A 6-8m rated keeper, the best in the division, a striker sold for millions in the Premier League and on a reported 37k a week, several champions of this league and one who's been promoted 4 times!!!

But hey i forgot, he took over Blackpool not Cardiff :hehe:

I clearly said this season in my post.

What money was Slade given in January apart from Doyle? All Slade did in January was bring in cheap replacements on low wages to replace all the big earners he had to get off the wage bill. Then when Slade started turning our form around, Tan offloads Connolly and Kenwyne to free up more wages and weaken his squad further.

Instead of misreading my post and focusing on my supposed agenda, why don't you actually focus on what's really happened and appreciate the constraints Slade has had to work in?

Give Slade a bit of credit, he hasn't been given 6 million to sign Bradley Johnson or 9 million to sign Andre Gray to turn our form around. Slade has just got on with it and the players are playing for him, which shows Slade has great man management skills.

Obviously, Slade isn't the greatest tactician and I disagree with some of his team selections, but we are Cardiff City (I think some of us forget that and think we're bigger than we actually are).

It's a results business and against all the odds, Russell Slade on 120k a year currently has us 6th. We could do a lot, lot worse. As I said, I think the majority still wanting Slade out under our current circumstances are absolutely incredible. It's a definite SLADE IN for me.

On the fence i want slade to do well to be honest about it. Might of been to hard on slade. I always feel though its one step forward then two steps backwards. I dont expext city to win every game as long as the players give 100% and battle and if we lost then fair play. I will give him his due he has worked with a small budget not easy going. I hope he proves most people wrong and i am on the fence.

On the fence but:

If we stay in the play offs or thereabouts then I think we should keep him, it would be ridiculous to sack him in this position. However once we can't get into the play offs I'd ask him to leave or move upstairs and bring in a more dynamic, fresh manager. I don't see Slade as a long term manager here, it was such a budget and uninspiring appointment.

With the old fella. If we are still in the mix for the 3rd round of the FA cup keep him, if not let the next guy assess the players close up.

Even better opportunity now for someone else to come in and take over while Slade has over achieved up until now. Get someone in now to finish the job because Slades luck will run out soon.

Yes he has, are the players playing for free?

This^^^^ and also the fact a lot of fancied teams have underachieved so far. I expected QPR, Reading, Ipswich and Wolves to be above us by now.
