Re: The worst decision the EU has ever made

Literally zero idea what that last sentence means.

You are the one arguing.

I said i dont class turkey as being in Europe. And I think I'm correct.

Yet you keep banging on about Istanbul.

And you keep calling me stupid for saying Turkey is not European.

When all you can bring up is Istanbul is in Europe.

That is not what I meant by "Turkey is not a European country".

So what is your point?. Istanbul is in Europe?. Am I denying that? No. Does 5% of a country being in Europe mean that country is European? no.

Found that official information on where europe begins and ends yet?.

Istanbul is in both Europe and Asia. It is divided by the Bosphorus. The country as a whole is secular and very European politically, although under Erdogan its heading more towards an Asian way of life, something many Muslims who vote for AKP in Turkey want. Another proportion of them do not, as they're more liberal and want change, hence the current political climate there.

Turkey is both a European and Asian country, more modernly referred to as Eurasian.

And when I ask you to back up yours claims with facts, as you seems to think there are facts, you do a runner?.

I'm bored with this now, you said that Turkey isn't in Europe when clearly it is (even if it's a very small percentage of the country). That is what I picked you up on as I completely agree with you on everything else.

Depressed and thick, what a great combination :laughing6:

As enthralling as the Geography lesson was, the actual point is that the Turks are being paid to keep the refugees in their country to stem the flow into europe, as part of the deal the turkish citizens are able to travel within the Schengen zone of europe, which doesnt include the UK.

Never got into office? Councillor for 4 years and during that time the ward I represented received more funding than at any time since it was created. Once again you are incorrect on this thread, what's that now? 3 times wrong and counting? :laughing6:

Well you ran to be a MP and failed didn't you?.

As you have proven in the past, it is all about "profit". So I'm glad you never got the chance to represent me as I think you'd be out for personal gain.

I haven't been wrong on this thread once.

It is a matter of opinion as there is no beginning and end to Europe.

And I am still waiting for the facts Rafa to back up your claims?.

So either give me the facts or accept that there are none.

As this is going on and on, started by you, as you cannot accept that my opinion is valid.

Re: The worst decision the EU has ever made

There's a lot of people in Turkey who are more European minded than Asian, they want a secular state. The idiot in charge is changing that and he needs to go. Turkey in geopolitical terms is one of the most important countries in the world. It acts as a buffer zone between Europe and the basket case that is the middle east. We need to remain on very good terms with them because if it's lost to the fanatics then it could be catastrophic.

But that wouldn't be 'Office in Merthyr' would it!!! :laughing6:

Wrong about BBC, wrong about Turkey in Europe whatsoever where their city Istanbul is actually in Europe, wrong that I wasn't in 'office in Merthyr' and now you are wrong about Merthyrs MP being in 'Office in Merthyr'!!! lol f*cking hell the list is growing and growing :laughing6:

Jesus Christ.

This is pathetic.

Like arguing with a 14 year old on xbox live.

And I meant being an MP, which you never have been - Have you?.

I have said Istanbul is Europe. I have quite clearly said that you utter mong.

95% of turkey is in Asia.

SO.......................IN......................MY...................OPINION...............................TURKEY...................IS....
....................NOT......................A.......................EUROPEAN.................................COUNTRY........

Istanbul may be in Europe. But the capital of turkey is not and neither is 95% of the country.

How hard is that to understand. I, DO, NOT BELIEVE, TURKEY, IS, A EUROPEAN, COUNTRY.

You literally have no argument. I have asked for the facts to back up your claims, as you only seem to deal in facts, but you continue to just talk about the bbc and other meaningless parts of this thread as you are skirting the actual point of it.

So Istanbul, me not finding the BBC article, the MP attempt, is the total amount of your argument. All wrong.

And I'll stop now as we've spent far too long on this.

What part of Istanbul IS in Europe don't you understand FFS!!! I agree that the rest of Turkey isn't but a small part of it is like many other countries including Russia. You are clearly dull as f**k so piss off back to your own little world because I'm not wasting anymore of my time on this topic.

Goodbye and good luck with the depression

It doesn't matter whether or not it's geographically anywhere, a pointless argument if ever I have read one. Politically it used to be very European, that was the time to let them in the EU. Nowadays it's anything but politically European and becoming increasingly more islamic, despite what the people of Turkey want.

I am in favour of Turkey joining the EU if it had a leader and society that leant towards a European way but in the current climate no bloody chance and our leaders must be insane to think otherwise.

Re: The worst decision the EU has ever made

I've said it is down to personal opinion.

5% of a country being in Europe, for me, does not mean it is european.

So we don't agree, lets leave it at that :digging2: :laughing5:
