Pity, as I'd love to keep him, but only if on a fraction of the money.

Kiss , Tamas and Velikonja will also leave , but I'd like to keep Turner.

He is injured too much, but is quality. Once again though, he'd be facing a pay cut to stay

It's also time to consider those whose contracts end in 2017.

Le Fondre- will be sold if he does OK at Wolves
Revell- ditto with Wigan
Macheda, O'Keefe, Harris-probably stay, but as it stands not deserving of a new contract
KD- would like to see him stay longer, but very expensive so will probably leave
Whittingham- hard to say. Might stay on a lower wage.
Adeyemi- will probably go
Pilkington- very good player, but injured a lot and will be on high wages. Likely to leave
Malone and Connolly- club should try to keep these 2
Manga- we should try to keep him, but can we afford it. Maybe cash in, but he'll need games for us to get value.
Ajeyi- too early to tell
Fabio- try to keep him, but will he want to stay ?
Moore- as with Fabio, unless Marshall goes he'll be 2 nd choice.

These guys make up a big chunk of our first team. It's going to be an interesting 12-18 months

I can't argue with that.

Keeping on the same flavour but only concentrating on Jones we simple cannot justify his wages. He is only still with us because of that. Come the end of season his options will be to take a drastic wage cut to go somewhere else or stick with the devil you know that is us but also take a dramatic wage cut.

The wage cuts will be so dramatic that I think he will return home.

Exactly right. Not a clue.
I would like to to see him stay on a reduced salary rather than leave for free and play elsewhere on a reduced salary.

He won't though.
We aren't the big money boys any more. There's a stack of sides who are able to pay more than us and he'll go where is best for him.
I can't see that being us, and if it is and we are paying top wages then it will mean we can't bring in players who will put in 40 games of 90 minutes and improve as players with us.

Still too many overpaid players who can't last 90 minutes and pick up lots of injuries in our squad.

If he runs his contract down then of course he'll move on if more money is offered. That's not unique to him.
99% of players do in modern football.

Thing is, there's only 6 months left now.
What we offered before wasn't enough, his agent will be hawking him around and I can't see how we can pay him big when we've still got so many high earners on contracts to 2017.

I'd be surprised if he stayed.

Only silver lining is he will be in the shop window now, so we might see what he's capable of over the next few months
