I'm obviously missing something, but the only time I hear anything about the supporters trust is making comments in things such as this
Obviously if someone from the Trust wishes to answer then that's fine.
However my understanding is the Supporters Club is literally there to 'Support' the club whilst the 'Trust' has the interests of the supporters as its core value.
They usually bang on about any member of the Trust being a proxy share holder as the Trust holds shares and any member of the Trust is signed up to 1 share of the Trust. The logic sort of works but of course any voting rights are in the hands of the Trust leadership.
In principle the Supporters Trust is a very good idea and we saw it work best in the opposition to the rebrand. But the leadership do wield all lot of power and because so few vote in membership re-elections the Trust Board is not totally reflective of the fan base as a whole only a reflection on those who actually voted.
Of course the Trust Board can't be held responsible for that and if Mr Hartley win's the most votes then he quite rightly leads the organisation, although its an old adage that the Supporters Trust has failed badly to recruit in numbers over the years it has been in existence.

May apart from Tim Hartley, who once again steals the limelight, I think they're all too embarrassed, Annis![]()
I feel for the more genuine amongst them, such as Keith Morgan (a man I have a certain respect for)
We are lucky to a large extent that our historic links with English football mean that any push to remove us from the pyramid would likely be laughed out of Court
With friends like Tim Hartley and the hitherto silent Trust, we certainly don't need enemies and I repeat previous comments that they 100% do not represent me. They 'represent' nobody except those few who are daft enough to pay into their coffers!

The good thing about the Trust, is that they have elections every year and board members can be voted off if enough people stand. This statement from Hartley does himself no favours at all. It's a shame the likes of Corky and Dave Sugarman are no longer involved in the organisation anymore.

I've seen those elections before Tony Williams of this forum shall I say was not made welcome at all and had no chance, for me it's a closed shop and that's how I feel about them and see it.

I think the problem is, is that most Trust members don't know the people standing for Trust board membership very well and who they are, so vote for the existing board, I must admit, ive been guilty of this.
If Tony stands again, he'll definitely get my vote. I haven't been impressed by Hartley at all, his latest comments are a total embarrassment.

Martin, this is why I would not have anything to do with the Trust, they never achieve anything and to think they wanted to be on the Cardiff City board.
Tim Hartley or Keith Morgan, maybe could answer this pathetic statement ?

As this thread proves no one gives a shit that it's called the English football league, iv'e always known it to be the English football league anyway. If this makes you feel less welsh then I suggest you support a welsh league side. This opinion I am afraid is the opinion of Hartley and he's abused his position by making a statement that makes us all look like petulant wankers. We are a Welsh team playing in the English football league.
If you see this reported on facebook etc make sure you comment saying you are a Cardiff fan and you don't care what the leagues called and the majority of us are not offended and fully understand it's the English league.

Hi,
I would just like to say how embarrassed I am by your chairman's comments regarding the English Football League. It in no way represents the thoughts of sane Cardiff fans and you have brought negative publicity on us at a time when it is not needed or desired.
I hope that you make a statement as an organisation disavowing yourselves from his comments.
