NO it's not.

Yes Tan contacted Slade after a bad run and a terrible performance and defeat at Leeds, but I've been told Slade has Tans full backing this season to continue to be City's manager as long as we don't get involved in any relegation battle, which to be fair to Slade that does not look likely :thumbright:

I am not a Slade fan, but I am a Cardiff City fan and will continue to give the team my full support home and away no matter who the manager is or what ever our results are :thumbright: :ayatollah:

So it does not matter if you, myself, the Media,Dalman or Choo are not Slade fans, Slade is virtually guaranteed to stay this season, so incl the media let's concentrate on supporting the team :ayatollah:

It will be interesting in January if Slade is allowed to bring in at least 2 players that he wants, I would like to see him backed on this, because as I've said before either back your manager on players or sack him.

Our crowds are very disappointing so far this season, but hopefully if we keep hanging around near the play off position they will increase.

You won't be singing that tune when Marshall, Manga, Jones, Fabio and any other players leaves. Coupled with the fact that any half decent player won't sign for us as we look unambitious!

Be even more empty seats then :sladeout: Even Tans hangers on don't even come anymore :sladeout:

Try celebrating the fact that 13,500 supporters still DO come along...or is that too positive for you??

It wasn't too long ago some of us were sat in the old stadium with crowds of less than 4k ;)

I would prefer those old days at NP.

As far as the 13,500 take off the large Reading contingent and the FREE kids tickets and you would get the real attendance :ayatollah:

Umm, the attendance was over 150000 the 13500 was not including Reading :laughing6:

Good point, when you think of Slade's previous transfer dealings, how could you give this man any sort of a war chest, he would simple waste it

his record in the transfer market is 50/50
Who has he signed that is a stand out player?

Not sure about his overall quality, but for argument sake I will give you the benefit of the doubt, so that's one, give me another

Doyle has to go down as a bad signing. Its the only time Slade has spent any real money and he suddenly doesnt fancy him in the side now. Its a real negative, i would say the main one

I think I'll take his net spend with a few cheap gambles over Malky Mackays gambles any day

Spot on

I've said this for a long time our hardcore is around 13000 fans who turn up week in week out

Wouldn't matter who was in charge at the moment we'd not average more than 15k this season anyway

The Leeds result was a new low for me ...... losing to such a poor side

I am sorry to say that if you are waiting for someone at the club to contact you then DONT!

No one has contacted me to see why my 4 were not renewed and after a great number of years of support. Left us feeling like a commodity which would never have happened in the past :bluescarf:

I don't like to say it but can only see it getting worse (hope not) still follow the scores but agree with you to much turmoil at the Club has taken its toll.

As for Choo and Dalman? In their ivory towers and not in the real world :ayatollah:

A few boring games and 7th in the league. Shoot me now! The only Termoil is fans complaining about attendances and then not turning up.
totally agree there's some on this thread that are moaning but don't go  the club over the years have always had these stay away fans who like the bitch ,it's either in your blood or not ,obviously it not that important to some that's why they don't go

Agree with the above. We play WBA in the Premier League, and it's a full house. We play Wolves in the Championship, and it's 14k. Says it all.

If we get to the play-offs this year give him a contract extension but I'm sure it ends this summer, if we are't in the top 12 then I think we should look somewhere else

Re: " Russell Slades Managers Job in Doubt? "

If Slade gets us top 6 then he deserves a contract extension.

Re: " Russell Slades Managers Job in Doubt? "

Slade is out of contract in the summer and his replacement has already been approached. Think about it! If, in the unlikely case we are promoted, Slade is to be kicked upstairs.

Didn't realise his contract expired at the end of the season. If he doesn't make the play-offs then he should be sacked.

If he gets 7th or 8th then Slade should go and be replaced with a proven Championship manager. That manager will have the whole summer to improve us as a team.

Brighton & Hove Albion got Chris Hughton which was an excellent option. Got Birmingham to the play-offs and Norwich to 11th place in their first Premier League season (beating Arsenal and Man United). Now, started off very well with Brighton. Shame we didn't go for him.

It's a 'rolling' contract, so either side can terminate 'with due notice' at the end of each season

To be honest, I dont like Slade but he;s here til May at least and I do think/hope Bellars will start to get more involved.

We havent been great but were not far off the mix somehow. Bit of a run putting a few wins together and crowds will come back.

What worries me is were dangerously close to the top 6, if we somehow made it and went up we will get the biggest slamming on current style lol

I know that there are some die hards, but for me I won't be wasting my hard earned money to watch consistent dire football from an utterly clueless manager. What's the point in that? Im not wealthy enough to waste money and that's how I see it at the moment.

Either there is a change in approach or a change in manager or I won't renew. I would rather we stayed in the Championship and played decent attacking football, even if this meant losing some games. At least there would be passion.

Im not a glory (and not a die hard either) but I do expect to receive value for money, and not go home wondering why I bothered going to the game.

Our results have also flattered to deceive, because Marshall is an outstanding goalkeeper. If he was to leave in January, I can see big problems.

Maybe when crowds fall below 10k, the management will review the situation.

You could have written this for me as that's pretty much how I feel. I've had 3 ST for me & my two kids for over 10 years, as they are over 16 I would have to pay a fair bit more (which I expect), but in addition be told to sit in another part of the ground and even higher price. Club marketing & pricing leaves a lot to be desired. The whole match day experience is different from 5-10 years plus ago, pubs are not the same, match atmosphere is disappointing & the football is mostly dire.
I can handle losing if I've been entertained, that means enjoying the craic. Most of the main ingredients are now missing.
