hasnt he already turned us down once?
He turned us down before slade was appointed and his reason was he had no say In decision making on football decisions at city so that tells us all we need to know what slades up against the links here for the interview with him as to why he said no, people seem to forget that our manager is not pulling the strings but let's blame him as he's the manager so to speak

Damn!

He would be perfect! Unfair Slade got to be making decisions, and Hartley didnt.
Making the yes man thread look slightly different though

Slade is a yes man clearly otherwise Hartley would be here. Simple as that for anyone who thinks different it's there for all to see .he took the job on so no sympathy for him tbh even if he gets a say in nothing he will take the blame either way

Nigel Pearson

Spot on not many on here think before they spout
Most I can see tan paying a manager is £250k now which at this level isn't all that bad so salary will only be and issue with top end managers
The real issue is tan the constraints on the wages and funds a lot of which is down to ole buying and paying silly money for piss poor players we still have a lot of work to get more wages off the books before tan opens the chequebook
It'll be interesting I personally see slade here until end of season when he's out of contract a few more players moved on and a chance for someone new to have a full pre season and some money to shape things a little better

Welcome to online forums nothing will change, scroll down a page or two and post most people do, one person said they wanted the Dundee manager instead of slade when clearly he didn't read my POST starting this thread and the guy turned us down before slade

the reason he didnt take job is tan wanted pruning of squad, and he couldn't bring in players unless he sold player 1st, that has been going on in football for centuries! ! he wanted control over players in and out he couldn't so wouldn't come. slade is not a yes man as he as say on all team matters unless of course you think tan picks team and does the training ?

failed at gaining promotion with Brentord
then failed again with Wigan, then was taking them backwards rapidly
then was showing no sign of turning things around at leeds though granted probably should have had 5/6 more games.
fa cup semi final is fantastic to be fair, and a win at man city too. But if we are going for managers who have pulled off surprising one off victories in the cup lets have phil parkinson
Well taking a Championship club into the playoffs can that really be described as a failure

As for Brentford he rebuilt the team there without spending a penny and left them after winning 7 of the last 8 games in charge which set the club well on course for the promotion where Mark Warbuton got the plaudits. Again how can that be described as a failure
As for Leeds both Warnock and Mcdermott, who both have proven records at Championship leve,l and they didn't last there.
It's all about opinions and mine is there is enough on Uwe Rosler CV to suggest he would bring something to Cardiff City, if nothing more than high tempo, high pressing, attractive football.
Isn't that something we ALL want.

Hard to argue with that, TBH. Uwe Rosler would be eager to prove a point
I would also look at bringing DJ back of the season and seeing how it goes. It couldn't be any worse!

Rosler wouldn't be my first choice but wouldn't be deverstated, he has shown potential before and may come here looking to prove himself.

Hasselbaink has got to be worth a shot. Wouldn't cost a bomb and is showing that he knows his way around football management even though it is early days for him. Saw him on a documentary recently and he seems to be an impressive character who knows how to build a team around him.

I watched Burton v Rochdale earlier this season. It was dire. The football was no better than what we see at the ccs.
There are plenty of good managers out there. Edinburgh of gillingham has done a great job. The other one who has done a good job on tiny resources is Paul Tidsdale of Exeter. He got them out of conference and has built a team with blend of experience and youth. He has them playing passing and attacking football and the philosophy runs through the club. He was pipped to the Swansea job by Brenda and whilst I despise the jacks they have a good track record of recruitment so him getting close to their job shows he has good credentials. The youth system there is now producing good players and he wil pick them. Slades refusal to give youth a chance is one of my biggest bug bears especially when revell gets picked regularly.
