Couldn't go tonight anyway but on principle I won't pay the extortionate ticket prices that Leeds always charge. It will be a drab game with Premiership prices.

That's true, we did have an awful lot of loons at away games in the 80's and 90's, many of whom you would rarely ever see at a home game. I'd love to the the % of our fans who went away in 87/88 who still go now. I'm sure Annis will have a good guess....

The club and the police wanted rid of the undesirables, well they won. Imagine how many would have gone to Leeds unrestricted a few years back. It would have been numbers like turned out at The Lane. MASSIVE :old:

Just over 200 to Ipswich and just under 200 to leeds, let's be truthful those numbers are shocking,we hear different excuses all the time, the fa cup only around the corner,if we draw a big club home or away,I bet the numbers will increase massively

Thats more than true.

Yet our fans paid £45-£55 at quite a few away grounds in the Premier League and we sold out .

People will always find money for the premiership. I remember paying over £50 for four away games on the trot, but can fans justify paying it for the championship?

Support your club :thumbright: not Premier Clubs
Tonight is £35 over priced, I agree, but many clubs have been charging a lot lot less :ayatollah:

Things have changed so quickly, we took a lot more away in Malky's promotion season too, but a lot of water under the bridge since then.

Personally I think the promotion season had a negative effect, a lot of fans hung on for one last season, and the disappointment lost us a lot, and then Ole's massive underachievers lost quite a few more......

Agree, the numbers are too low and if a big game in the cup comes round then it wouldn't matter if it is £50 a ticket or a Tuesday night, fans will 'find the money' and the enthusiasm to be there.

The demise of the Valley Rams has had an effect too, they took thousands away every season. I used to travel by car but went up with them on bubble or coach only trips and had a great laugh....

The authorities are eventually getting their way, it's all good getting families to go, but the loss of the normal fans will never be fully replaced......

I think £49 was the most expensive Premier League tickets, which were at Chelsea & Man City!

Still a lot of money though!

What's the cost for kids? I'm off to Derby in 2 weeks. Cost for me is 28 and 15.50 for my 2 lads. Add in booking fees and ransacking fees and its cost me just short of £65. Add in transport, overnight stay, food and drink and a weekend is going to cost me best part of £300. I'd love to do every away game but can't afford it....

Not costing them a lot compared to their income from the Prem league.

Has it helped, I saw a picture of their support at the Villa and it looked like only the bottom section was full with the top only 1/3 full at best ?

Their turnout and Sunderland looked similar to ours tonight.

Guess the novelty runs out after a bit, whether the cost is reduced or not ?

Football has imo become mostly quite boring to watch as well, not just us. The weekend before last I watched 3 games on the box, Man U, Liverpool and Cardiff's, everyone was garbage!

Have to agree. I'm sure that there have been more 0-0 games this season than in previous years. Man Utd having spent 200 million in summer have not scored for almost 500 minutes.

I've watched numerous games this season (mostly on tv) and the only decent ones were Newcastle v Norwich and Everton v Sunderland.

Which absolute clown is in the charge of our twitter account???.

"Lets tweet how many fans are there tonight shall we? Even though we havent done it before games in the past. Lets do it tonight when weve got a low crowd. Top idea that"

And they got the part of the ground wrong.

Why tweet that?.
